Hey folks,
I really hate posting this, there’s a million threads out there on the subject. I’m debating between these 3 specific tires and sizes as far as being cost effective and needs. So, new MojaveX which will have 2 inch AEV lift. Occasional trail/dirt road, mostly mall crawler. No towing at this time. Not looking to regear at this time. Want 3p snow rated.

My dilemma on these 3 is that the 37’ KO2’s weigh 4-4.5 pounds less than either of the 35’s in this list. So in actuality, the rolling mass would be less. 🤷🏻

I’d like to stay on topic with these 3 tires if possible. TIA

You're going to get a lot of different opinions. Just do your research, as you said this topic has been beat to death. Choose which you like based off things you've watched and looks.

KO2 - when they're worn out they're worn out, from what I've read. But solid tire.

Falkens - Some haven't liked the AT4W and found they're a downgrade from the AT3s.

Don't know much about the Goodyears.

Ya, I know. I like the looks of 37’s , Had them on my JLU……I was just looking for maybe an opinion/review I had thought about yet.

The Goodyears are a Discounttire exclusive I think…..reviews seem good but not a lot of info on them.

I have had two out of the three, I didn't notice much of a difference between the Ultraterrains and BFGs as far as weight goes and effects on accelerating, stopping or MPG. Both are good tires and did well in the snow here in MN. Currently on 37" Milestar Patagonia XTs, definitely notice the weight compared to the 37" BFGs they replaced.

I ran the 37 BFG’s for awhile. They seemed a little hard to keep balanced. Other than that they were great. I still have them in my storage building.

I have not been happy with BFG. The Falken ATW3 that came stock on my Rubicon were good. I've had really good luck with both Toyo AT3 and Toyo R/T Trail. Also, I would look at a load D tire. What you posted are load C, E and C.

Ya, from some of the reviews I’ve seen, that’s can be a problem

I have a set of 35" Goodyear Ultraterrains with 76k miles on them. They've been great. Didn't even rotate them frequently and still got this mileage. They are about done though.

Diameter is a bigger factor than weight. I agree with @rharr , I'd run what you want and don't let weight be a big influencer. Tread and size are more important.

Falken. My OEM muds and current R/T’s (35x11.50r17) have been awesome. I’ve seen too many BFG sidewalls split open offroad so I don’t recommend them.
Ya, that’s was a complaint that seemed pretty common in the reviews.

I ran KO2's on my last Jeep, no issues.

KO3's on my Gladiator right now. No issues so far.

Friend of mine has been running KO2/3's for several years now in 35 and 37s - heavy wheeling. No issues.

I found that my Load C KO3s ride *slightly* softer than my Load C AT3W's did in the same size.

But, tires fall in the same category as politics and oil weights.
