If you see me running. The Grim Reaper is 3 steps behind me.
I walk 2-3 miles a day at a pretty fast clip, and I tell myself I’m trying to keep the old man from catching up to me.

Transferred from a junior college to Michigan Tech in 1991 for a D2 school to play DB on the football team. Now at 55 years old, I don't even know if I could run a 6 second 40 yard time. Best time was 4.56 back in the day.. HAHHAH Getting old sucks!
I was a hurdle and relay runner , Track & Field never did foozeball.

Having a 70th birthday last week definitely had that effect on me, plus getting a birthday card like this.

Another thing that makes me feel old is this damn beer belly is fighting me to go away. Not too long ago, I could stop drinking beers for a few weeks and it was gone. I’ve been doing that and going to the gym and jogging several times a week for the last two months and it’s still fighting me.
Koko uses mine as a perch to nap on when I'm in a chair.......... embarrassing

I’m working at it. It just takes longer. I just got done running 4 miles on the treadmill at the gym. I had a super hot 25 yr old girl next to me who’s also apparently very competitive and we were matching each other stride for stride. Whatever it takes for motivation. lol
I do wonder if there’s something to the whole cortisol thing that I see in advertisements everywhere for RYZE and such.

I'll be 70 in June and I'm still doing most things I was at 18, running, marching, falling out the sky, retired US Army in '94. The only thing that makes me feel tired, is people that think they know better or have a better idea and want you to do it their way! They are tiring!

I was 1600m, 800m, 3200m, and 4x800m on the regular and depending on the meet I’d jump in the 4x400m. Then of course Cross Country in the other season. I was one of those odd birds that could keep up or even pass the sprinters in about 400m and hold my own in a 200m. Longest race was a 10-miler in 2:07:21 at 30 yrs old.

I did 110m highs, shuttle low hurdles & 4x800. I could run 100meters in 11.0 flat in Highschool .
I was able more of a long legged sprinter .
But when I was 24 and in Police Basic Academy I could still do 1 ½ mile in pretty decent clip and hadn't ran for years. 10:30 seconds.
I'm over 50 now and I can still run a mile just lots slower. 11-12 min. Area. 😉
Im more strong than fast now. 😂
