The second half was better, but you didn't miss much as the first half especially was a snooze fest.

Considering this thread is about age, what was interesting was we were at a Super Bowl party with other parents with kids in high school. We all knew each other through sports. All the boys there were baseball or football players (or both).

Collectively, they had no care in the world to watch the game. Granted we're in SoCal and maybe would have cared more if the Rams or Chargers were in it, but they were outside playing pick-up football, wuffle ball, and basketball. Then when inside the house to eat, they were mostly on their phones laughing at videos.

Maybe it's the age, but it did surprise us parents that these young athletes were not interested in watching the biggest sporting event of the year on the television.

All those guys running around in tights making millions of dollars . Surprised they arent wearing a pink tutu also.
At any rate it had become somewhat of a social gathering event similar to New Years eve parties also..
Im just an old Curmudgeon anyway , watched some movies and went to bed.

Let's get rid of any part of the game where someone could get hurt. Just cancel the 1/2 time show. It's all a joke now.

Super bowl - that's where superman goes potty. It's a super flush when he's done.
The NFL is about the same as what superman deposits in his super bowl. Won't give them even a glance.

Transferred from a junior college to Michigan Tech in 1991 for a D2 school to play DB on the football team. Now at 55 years old, I don't even know if I could run a 6 second 40 yard time. Best time was 4.56 back in the day.. HAHHAH Getting old sucks!

Another thing that makes me feel old is this damn beer belly is fighting me to go away. Not too long ago, I could stop drinking beers for a few weeks and it was gone. I’ve been doing that and going to the gym and jogging several times a week for the last two months and it’s still fighting me.

Having a 70th birthday last week definitely had that effect on me, plus getting a birthday card like this.

I just use mine as a 3rd hand on occasion. Helps out massively. Especially when using one of those hydraulic crimpers. :CWL:
