I have seen wild stuff like seats embroidered saying the wrong trim level. A friend of mine had a grand Cherokee that said overland summit on one seat and overland on the other.

Yeah kinda wish they’d messed mine up and put Mojave seats in it. That’s why I went “good” on seat covers and not “pure awesome”. It’s an unimportant but wanted mod that’s way on down the list of things to do.

Well, the plot thickens! Yes, Robin, there's more to this, time to run it through the Bat analyzer to see what it comes up with.

Built December 6th, 2025. Sits at the plant until FEBRUARY, finally shipped the 2nd week of Feb and arrives, so we see it Friday the 13th - a day that will live in infamy for my poor wife.......... but that's a different topic.

I was told it was only audit, nothing wrong, it was just sitting there, no problems.

So, what does this sheet that says "REBUILD" with a whole list of parts, all related to the dash and center stack and HVAC mean???
Looks to me like it wasn't just sitting there, more like they through 2 pages of parts at it. The steering wheel tilt is next to impossible to use - lever down, takes both hands and a hard pull to get the steering column down to usable angle. Lots of fasteners in this list.

Looks to me like it spent almost 2 months being rebuilt. This was in the glovebox. Yes, it's our Jeep, that's the build date and time.

-- REBUILD -- uh, doesn't that mean something, uh, maybe like "rebuild" and is this a list of parts taken from INVENTORY to do the repairs?

We already have it. 300 miles on it already (I've been driving it)
Since a member here said it was "only audit, no repairs, nothing was found to repair", and didn't find this until later (no reason to look in a usually empty glove box), figured he must be right and there was nothing wrong. In the back of my mind, though, I wondered - 6+ weeks for an audit? Yeah, right.

Having worked in repair/rework at BMW, I would say it had several issues that required rework. Repair, as stated on the auxiliary build sheet. I agree, even with miles already on it, I think I would bring this up with the dealer. Especially with the steering column issues. It sounds like that may have been the issue, and they tore everything apart trying to fix it. If nothing else, I would make them fix that under warranty. I know you’ve got way more than you need on your plate right now, but, I’d be politely raising hell.

Thank you. I wondered what to call that sheet and that's the perfect name.
The place they had so the power steps messed up so it has to go back for that. Good time as any to bring this up.

So I personally do interior hard trim, it wasn't that, because I never looked at it.

It didn't require anything to be replaced, because there's no record of that.

So, every day, they randomly choose a vehicle to audit, and yours was on the line marked as sold, between that and the purple, probably why it was chosen.

The auditors, are the most nit picky people in the world, that's their job. If they see something, a mark, a gap, a scuff, something they think is off color, or the wrong shade, or anything... They throw a flag.

9 out of 10 times, it's all within spec, and someone looks at it and goes, this is fine, and sends it.

Anything serious, functional, your IP for example, it's not negotiable. It won't pass the function checks, there is no hand waving it away.

This was something like, idk, I think that door panel looks a touch too blue, or some other nonsense. And it wasn't egregious, because, again, it wouldn't be negotiable.

If they had screwed up the emblems, or decals, like I've seen people post proof of, there would be record of that, because they'd have to charge the supplier, or sequencer, upfitter, whoever screwed up.

Apparently 6 weeks of the dashboard laying on the floor in Toledo, OH 😬

You know I never paid much mind to it, but I remember on my JK the under hood insulation was missing and there was what appeared to be buffing compound splattered on the bottom of the hood. Almost like the hood or something on the front end was torn up before delivery and was carelessly repaired. The Jeep had 14 miles on it after my test drive. It was pretty new.

Looked fine on the outside just appeared to have been haphazardly finished up.

Another one - I saw a brand new Camaro SS at the dealership one day. I knew it was for sure an SS by the brakes, exhaust, other signs, but the front bumper fascia was wrong! It was a V6 nose on a V8 car (they are shaped differently). When the sales guy came to check on me I pointed this out and he quickly got alarmed and didn't want to talk about the car anymore.

Either it was built wrong at the factory, or they tore it up somewhere along the way in delivery/at the dealership and put the wrong nose on it when they bought parts.

Sounds like yours never left the plant before all heck broke loose.

Hopefully any issues get resolved!

My truck had the opposite problem, it blazed through the line so fast it had shit falling off of it that wasn't clipped on fully when I picked it up from the dealer 😂

I love that you tagged me and atted me in a thread I'v elong turned off notifications for as if I somehow owe an explanation here, like it's my job 😂

Is anyone paying my pay check in this group? You guy's cut me a consulting fee?

I'm all set on enabling anyones anxiety. Keep it, take it back, get it fixed, I don't give the remotest of cares.

But I work for Walmart, welcome to Walmart. So unless you want to learn about the latest rollbacks, don't ever @ me again

So in other words, the info given me earlier was crap, total shit It wasn't just sitting waiting for someone to ok it as some random audit while blasting me for wondering what's up.
This is why I say half the "info" out there and here is bullshit. He was saying that crap just as a way of saying shut the duck up about it.

It's been rebuilt with old Faygo cans, probably won't last three months.

I was just asking cause you seem like you know or have atleast alluded to knowing something about the inner workings of the assembly line.
I was just hopping maybe you'd share some knowledge is all.

@Jrgunn5150 so about those rollbacks, any on ammo coming up???
