Trouble placing Bilstein 8100 resevior with AEV lift

so I installed AEVs blue spring high capacity 3 inch lift witg 8100s. I have a 2021 gladiator rubicon. It worked with 35 inch tires, I switched to 37s on factory wheels and now the tires drag on the reseviors. I can pitch them back and they clear without flex, but I bet any flex would ruin my day. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions on how else/where else i should mount the reseviors? Thanks!

On those rears you should be able to find a clamp and mount them to the rear of the shock itself.

On the front I believe most mount them to the frame horn. Usually a bit higher and more tucked in than you have them there. Depending on the bumper you may need to drill a hole in the steel there.

I agree with Bandit. Looks like you have an aftermarket front bumper preventing the reservoirs from being mounted more forward and up. You may have to get a little creative with placement.

Thank you! The rears came all set up connected to each other, and the bottom picture is of how it was recommended to be mounted by AEV. It did take drilling and riv-nuts to get it there, but it seems like thats the only spot the AEVs brackets work with, and in the vertical picture, thats as high as they'll go until it hits frame/mounts behind the grill.

Yeah... unfortunately, creativity is what I lack, and these tubes arent as long as Mojave tubes so I don't have as many obvious options. I spend time staring at it, and moving them around, but my cognitive limits are many.

I don’t think you’re that far off. Can you turn them horizontal? Here’s a pic of mine for reference. They appear to be right below the grille.

Worst comes just run by a shop and ask. They don’t have to install them. Most will run out and take a look and suggest positioning.

How bad are they rubbing? I think factory wheels have a +44 offset. Not the cheap fix but wheels with less offset might solve the problem. There are also some threads discussing adjusting the stop limiting how sharp/far you can turn.

Yeah... I wanted to keep my wheels mostly entirely out of being a cheapskate and just never having had opinions about how wheels look (but I do love steelies) and anxiety that I'll mess more things up, but that might be in the mix. Think spacers are worth using or stay far away from those?

Yeah. The shop that put the tires on suggested aluminum fender liners and to just mount to those, they said they could maybe make a bracket to get them in front of the grill but said I should be able to figure out.... and yet... I'm not the smartest somedays...

Spacers work, just don't buy cheap parts store spacers or discount amazon ones from china. I recall some threads about spacers and good brands/designs to look for.

Oh man, these look just like mine but maybe 2 inches forward amd maybe 2 up. Were these the AEV mounts? I'm suddenly thinking I screwed the wrong holes again.... time to go check. My bracket seems to be a newer one from what I've seen on some youtubes, I'll see if I can find a Pic from their instructions

Yeah, I've found some decent looking US made ones that are hub and wheel centric, but 1.75 inches, is that aggressive? And they are in sets of 2. I assume that I need 4???

I don't know man, you are going to need to do research on that stuff.

• 37” Tall Tires – Recommend 4.5” of Back Spacing
• 40” Tall Tires – Recommend 3.5” of Back Spacing

You will have to do some math to figure out spacer depth to get to 4.5" inches of back space from a stock wheel.
