That looks great! And even more so on a white/black JT, not that I'm in any way shape or form biased lol

You can find extendable poles on Amazon for Awnings or RTT Annexes. These may solve the non Free Standing issue, if you can incorporate them in the setup.- Will my Topoak entrance awning zip to the entrance of this tent? If so, it's a good and cheap alternative to a vehicle mounted awning, although not freestanding.
Do you have a link? I'm not sure how you could make something freestanding when it doesnt have a solid fixed mounted base. You can find extendable poles on Amazon for Awnings or RTT Annexes. These may solve the non Free Standing issue, if you can incorporate them in the setup.
Does the Awning have Grommets near the base? Or tie down Loops for guy lines?Do you have a link? I'm not sure how you could make something freestanding when it doesnt have a solid fixed mounted base.
I think I know what you're getting at. The Topoak awning comes with extendable poles. It zips to the tent on one side, and then you put the poles up on the other side and then tie them down.Does the Awning have Grommets near the base? Or tie down Loops for guy lines?
Oh, I misread and thought that you were looking for a solution, apologies....I think I know what you're getting at. The Topoak awning comes with extendable poles. It zips to the tent on one side, and then you put the poles up on the other side and then tie them down.
This is not a freestanding design. For some folks thats a deal breaker because they only want a freestanding awning (no poles, no guy lines)
You sleep the other way, not lengthwise with the bed. When the tent is open it's roughly 6'6" bed length IIRC, but I'll verify when I get home.Neat idea, but it won't work for taller people. The Gladiator only has a 5' bed, which is about 1'4" shorter than I am.
Agreed. I have the annex room for my Topoak, if the Topoak awning zips to this Campone tent, then the annex would as well. The downside with annex rooms and this particular setup is the lower height. With my Topoak the walls were too long for a tent being mounted lower on a half height rack, so there was a lot of material rolled up at he bottom and that causes issues with staking it down and using a floor. It could be done though, just had to improvise. I'll play around with everything and see if it would work, then we atleast know theres options from other brands that can be used.It would be nice if they made an Annex Room for it.
