All good things to have handy. I haven’t switched to fridge either. Coolers are annoying sometimes, but I own them. As you said, hotels handle the overnight cooling anyway. Without needing an ice run, you might miss that daily maverick run before the trails. :)
I remember the last time I was there the gas station across from our hotel (some random Chevron) had great breakfast burritos. Every morning id go over and get ice, gas, and burritos for the day 😂

I love Moab. There’s a tiny restaurant with a red awning with amazing breakfast sandwiches, and they do crazy good to go sandwiches to go for the trail.

Was the hotel the expedition? Love that place. The perfect kind of dive.

Quality Inn near the Moab Brewery. We stayed there both times. A bit dated but not bad by any means.

This time I booked at the Rustic Inn in downtown. One of the more affordable options. One block walk to Moab Diner, and two blocks to walk all of the main downtown.

I would have stayed further out or even got one of the glamping tents at the RV park - but since this will be a mom trip I decided she could have some comfort.

Nice! I'm going to bring my Skottle and perhaps cook once or twice, mix it up with some sandwiches and salads for the trail and buy breakfast some mornings.

Last trip there we stopped at the Wicked Brew coffee stand, drive thru, before heading into Arches. It's at the south end of town.
We got coffee and breakfast burritos. I'd stop there again.

Now your just teasing me. I've wanted one of those skottles for awhile. Maybe when we finally get a new RV I'll get one.

A friend of mine owns an offroad shop in the area. He carries some camping and overland stuff too which is a bit rare down here to have. When he did some event there I noticed he had a Skottle in stock. He cut me a really slick deal on it so thats the main reason I decided to try one. I dont use it often at all - but it is really handy when I do want it. I keep a fuel can and some utensils in the bag so all you need is the Skottle, food, and a little water to clean it.

Ive done tacos on it several times and sausages and peppers/onions.

Before I had mine, the second time we went to Moab my buddy had it with him when we went to Dead Horse. We cooked chicken fajitas and watched the sun set over the canyon.
