Dude you're just not getting it. You should go back and read everything I said if you're going to argue with me. I am not going to spec a power wagon to be similar to a gladiator and then still not have my gladiator, nor the power wagon that I would want. I would be left with a waste because my power wagon isn't the best it could be, and thus I am discontent. I would want to get more than what you specced there for the Power Wagon if I were to get one. And when I get a gladiator at the best it can be, it's still better than the Power Wagon in many things. Because they are different trucks. It's apples to oranges dude. It comes down to how much bang for my buck after implemented into each buyer's personal lifestyle. The gladiator fits me and will make me content, at a cheaper price.Im not talking about a base. On average the Power Wagons have $15K off MSRP with the tread lightly program and even more the higher in MSRP. A $55K Rubicon @7% below invoice is roughly $3,600 off by comparison. Here is a spread sheet I did:
![]()
A Power Wagon with leather seats, and 12" screen is similar in price to a Rubicon with leather seats and 8.4" screen, if not less. You keep saying 15K more but thats in MSRP thats not actual purchase price.
EDIT:
I just built a Power Wagon with the same features as on the Rubicon:
Options:
-PowerWagon Level 2 Equipment Group
-Bed Utility Group - LED Bed Lighting, Spray In Bed Liner
-Power Wagon Badging Delete
-Uconnect® 4C NAV with 12-Inch Display
-17-Speaker Harman Kardon® Premium Sound System
-Remote-Start System
-Blind-Spot and Cross-Path Detection
MSRP: 64,270 - 15,000 = $49,270.00
A Power Wagon with every option is $68,780No I said 20k more, but I dropped off 5k to bring it 15 as an acknowledgement of the discounts for the Power Wagon. It's still more because for the third time I'm not comparing base spec apples to base oranges, I'm comparing what I would actually spec, and so what I would spec in a Power Wagon in reality is going to be more than what I would spec in a Gladiator. Again it's not about base price, its about the bottom line for what would give me happiness.
You forgot to add the removable top and doors on the power wagon build.Im not talking about a base. At $15,000 off after discounts it would put it around $53,780.00 you said that would be $15-20K more then your Gladiator. So -15,000 would put your Gladiator @$38,780.00. That is base price on a Sport S (no options) or roughly what and Overland with NO Options would be @ 7% below invoice.
Thats a HUGE gap. I'm not sure why/how a zero option lower level Gladiator can even be compared to a fully loaded PowerWagon

You forgot to add in the V8 on the GladiatorYou forgot to add the removable top and doors on the power wagon build.
I’m not looking for a V8. But if that is what you need, why do you spend all of your time in the Gladiator forum. There are very active RAM forums as well. This whole thread is people explaining why THEY want the Gladiator. So why are you spending your time trying to force YOUR opinion on them? I’m not interested in knowing the features or cost of the RAM truck. It doesn’t excite me and it isn’t what I’m looking for.You forgot to add in the V8 on the Gladiator![]()
Im not forcing any opinion on anyone. The FACT is you can get a Power Wagon for similar money period. I was simply correcting incorrect posts on here.I’m not looking for a V8. It wasn't his opinion. It was a fact. He is arguing that the powerwagon can be had for the same price as a gladiator with similar options.I’m not looking for a V8. With those stats it would bring me closer to being happy with a Power Wagon purchase, however, I got big plans for my Gladiator, plans I wouldn't have with a Power Wagon. When the time comes for a full sized truck in 20 years, I hope Jeep will have one available.https://www.dennisdillonchryslerjeepdodge.com/new-vehicles/ram-2500/#action=im_ajax_call&perform=get_results&trim[]=Power+Wagon&page=1
$10K all day, add in affiliate pricing with tread lightly and and use their financing and get the additional $5K off.
I get it. For me the struggle is I want the size of a mid size truck (narrowness for trails), and but want the comfort and power of full size, with excellent off road capability. Nothing on the market checks all those boxes. The Gladiator checks a lot of them, the Ford Raptor checks a lot of them, and Power Wagon checks a lot of them, but none check all of them as they each have trade offs. With those stats it would bring me closer to being happy with a Power Wagon purchase, however, I got big plans for my Gladiator, plans I wouldn't have with a Power Wagon. I think it's safe to hope for it. The truck market in america has a presence that isn't going anywhere. And, Jeep would be the ones to make that leap if anyone, historically speaking, and this Gladiator is finally more proof of that. But I don't think it would be a for a long time. The boxes that aren't checked just don't make it worth it to invest into a larger off-road truck for Jeep, not yet. There aren't many consumers that are really asking for those boxes or features, and the ones that do have so many other influences, other options that persuade them. It would be a tough decision for car makers to make a onesize fits all truck, specializing in certain capabilities makes for easier marketing, and can lure in people to become loyal to a brand. The Gladiator is kinda a glimpse in the past in the sense that we've been asking for it for a long time. And of course, now were asking for more.I get it.
