260hp 442tq is what we have heard all along...... but now 480 tq. damn, I sure hope the hell that carries over. AND, that betters the Tq figure just released by Chevy for their new engine, way to go FCA

It could happen but doubt they would create a 2nd version or detune for Jeep, not enough sales volume. 480 ft lbs would be phenomenal in a JT.....

Also sounds like there may be a price war - probably not in Jeep world though

Meh on the rebel until they get power wagon level off road functionality.

Never understood why anyone was so hot for the rebel. I didn't really see any specs on it that made it much better than a bighorn equipped similarly.

Now the rebel TRX when it fiiinnnnaaaaallllyyy appears. That will be darn cool.

If so, they must have had a breakthrough w/ the cooling issue

Cool.PNG
Not necessarily. Just because it is rated to a certain power level on the dyno, doesn't mean that it changes what the vehicle they are putting it into can do. The cooling issue means that while you have plenty of power on the ready, you still cannot put more than X amount of weight on it or behind it.

My guess is that they will derate the Sport Max town by 500-600 pounds. I think if it goes any lower and they risk aleinating customers.
