Both of these are great options.
If only someone was keeping a master list of great ideas :LOL:
you've got access, make a new tab on the options matrix, lol

Man hold up. Who needs a tent for their jeep? I guess it makes sense. What with zombies.

Yes The 86 is rough. It is however one of the last of a great breed with a d44. its also slate blue which is rare.
Here are picks of the 85 and the 86

That interior just gave me a serious flashback to my first car, 84 CJ-7. Wish i kept it :-(

@Bobs85Reny , that 8020 stuff is cool, but damn its expensive. like $5 for a right angle bracket? I'm seriously considering making my topper out of plywood.....NO SERIOUSLY!

It’s worth the money. I have started building a roof top out of it. I have a very cool design and this stuff is super strong and easy to use. How long do you think your plywood will last and how heavy will it be. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

At some point I may post my design build for this but right now I don’t want to give all my designs away. Hoping to maybe get it into SEMA but will have to get the design and functionality perfect first.

!! that sounds like it's going to be really cool. Can't wait for the reveal.

I may reach out once I actually have my LE. I definitely want to build something custom with the 8020 stuff. I ordered a catalog and even tried to connect with some of the distributors around here. I'm going to play around and make some small stuff first. Probably a shop cart, or something like that.

Your not to far away from me. I may need some measurements off your Gladiator.

As always superb work. Wow!

Would it be easier if it was angled? The way the Ursa Minor tops are? Instead of moving the entire roof up, you go up a few feet on the back only...
By raising the whole thing you get a rear cabin for a kitchen and seating. the front section above the cab then makes a great space to sleep without going to far over the rear bed. More functional space.

We'll see, even with an 8020 frame I'm skinning the topper in plywood. Don't you worry, it'll all make sense some day.

That is a very very very good point... more of a true camper.
