One little question I have for you all is.....I'm about ready to put 35's on my new 17's but I can't find a shop to mount and balance them....all the tire shops around me say they will only do it with brand new tires with the sticker on them....I know some of you guys must have gotten you tires put on your stock rims and such...where did you get it done and how much did ya pay per wheel??

Find a different shop. Pep boys has done it for me in the past, as well as Mr Tire.

They are just being stingy is all.

I think I’m going to go with the 305/70/17 and a Rubicon takeoff suspension on my Sport S.

So 285's on a stock rim, anything else that you needed to add to accomodate the tire?
Nothing.. the 285 70 R 17 BFG KO2 measures 33x11.2". No lift. No spacers. OEM rims. IMO a good size and stays tucked under.

Yes, and so will a 305/70-17. Once you get to 315/70, that's when you'll start to have minor rubbing and you'll reach the maximum that you can go on a stock Sport with stock wheels.

285/70, 295/70, and 285/75 are all great sizes to run that fit with zero modification.
Great info thanks to WXMan!

My Sport S with Rubicon take-offs. No issues at all with stock suspension. I think the front needs to come up 1.5" to level out visually, but that's it.

Has anybody seen any sport S without lift and 33 or 35" tires? Wondering if a rubicon take off will fit the stock fenders and lift, wondering more optimistically if a 35" would have a snowballs chance in hell to fit stock lift and stock fenders.
This is mine with 33” no lift.
