So I thought I liked the manual when I brought it home despite a feel that was ever so slightly...off. But it was ok, still fun to drive, etc. Then I found out about hill start assist and how to turn it off; did that today, and it makes all the difference. The clutch feel seems crisper, there’s no hesitation, drives 100% better from my point of view.

Some people like the hill start assist, but if you test drive, try it with it on and with it off, it makes a difference.

I never turned mine off. Forgot all about it. Tonight I shall!

If I cannot get the gopro working this weekend I'll mount my phone and use that. I'm serious about making a video. My life is just work work work. I have Friday off, 3 day weekend :)

I've had to do a lot of basics and necessary things first.

I'm sure we all appreciate you doing so! Would love to see the video as well and compare my thoughts with yours. I'm interested to hear what other people think about the manual tranny.

@Berserker556 just for you

I know it's not the greatest video but you can see what I do well and what I struggle with in this video.

I learnt manual on old Hondas without rpm gages. My own manual cars have been a 2008 VW new beetle (shift by wire) and a 1990 NA Miata (not shift my wire).
