Those face plants on the airbags reminds me of my ex-wife's face in the local park on a tree any Saturday night!Figured I’d post for anyone interested.
They didn’t have a rating up on the NHTSA website, but I expect it to be the same as the Wranglers 4 stars. Everything is pretty much the same, other than weight differences. So, what's the verdict? How did it do compared to a Tacoma or something similar?
i'm afraid to watch the frontal offset, ostrich with head in the sand is probably a better choice for me.Figured I’d post for anyone interested.
I’m not sure how to process this...Those face plants on the airbags reminds me of my ex-wife's face in the local park on a tree any Saturday night!
At least the axles didn't break!
You got that right! The Verde for me is very favorable. It took that lick like a champ. If you can drive into a concrete barrier and open the doors it is a solid ride.

The 2019 Tacoma also got 4 stars.
Well done!Head on collision windshield is fine,,tiny rock at 65 mph,,,,,,,,
How do you like that? A frontal crash and the windshield doesn't even crack. Yet, we drive down the road and a small rock hits it and it cracks lol. Go figure ha!Built like a WWII TANK! Holy cow!
Good news: Whatever you hit is going to lose.
Bad news: There was NO deflection in the A-pillar, cab structure, or frame. The windshield didn't even crack. The truck is so rigid and so tank-like that the energy in a crash is going into the occupants.
Aren't those wheels and that grill a Sport? I don't see the Overland or Rubicon grill "trim" in that video.Did this model have a steel bumper?
Nvm, 35mph. Seems like a lot of damage for that speed. Car is totaled.
This reminded me of the first crash test video I ever saw: the Smart Car going 70mph into a concrete wall and still being able to open the doors
