I can't promise anything "good". meh with a splash of mediocre with brief moments of acceptability is best I can do.

But here it is. Up and ready for you.

i'm watching this with no audio as my wife and i watch "The Irishman" on Netflix. looks like at 10:11 you talk about limiting the side door of the cap to only go up so high, excited to hear about this cuz i saw that as being a problem with my 270 rhino awning

Go ahead and turn off The Irishman. It's "Casino" meets "Grumpy Old Men."

I did it by putting shorter struts in. Couldn't find the 13.25 I wanted so 13 work but isn't optimal.

Nice review. I left some comments on your channel. You’ve given me some new ideas.
Thanks!

I can dig it. Sweet rig so far.

How are you liking the Arcus? It's my favorite aftermarket bang for buck - especially with the inlaid winch. My gripe is the massive recovery hooks. Aesthetics aside, what is your opinion of construction and function? What foglights does it accept?
@Oscar Indy did you catch this post? Sorry if you did. Just thought it may have gotten buried. I've had a running list and overall picture of what I'm wanting my Sting Gray to look like and the features to have. It's a bit odd how similar we're at. Granted, mine is bone stock sitting in the garage right now, but it's good to plan!

While that arcus bumper looks cool, I'm guessing if anything bigger than a branch hits its hoop, it's going into the grill if it's just held on by one small bolt. (holy cow 3 its in one sentence!)

I did miss it. My apologies.
I really like the Arcus. I could do with out the giant hooks tho. I'd rather have some nice radiused holes that I could use a soft shackles in. The hooks are a bit over the top. I may cut them down at some point.

Yeah that thing is cosmetic. I have the trail cam so I ordered the kit without it that comes with a winch plate instead.

Im not sure those extend far enough to get past the bumper.

This summer I'll pull them and take them to a machine shop and have them cut to just the one hole and have them bevel that hole.
Yeah, cutting it down was my first thought as well. Looking forward to seeing what you do.

I missed a generation of recovery tech. Someone wanna walk me through the soft shackle advantage? Also what’s up with all the winch hook replacements?
