Curious to your thoughts on the DV8 bumper. I have read quite a few mixed reviews on their work and quality.

I'm completely happy with it. Fitment was good. Seems durable and all welds are good. I did have an issue with shipping. It took 2 bumpers and even the second one came damaged. In the end I just took a discount to keep the second bumper and made them send me touch up paint. All and all I'm happy with it.

Here is a sneak peek. The only change that makes mine different from the wayout concept is that I did away with the red lettering and went with a silver/ gun metal instead.
I'm not a fan of the red Rubicon accents on the gator and will be ridding my JT of all of them soon enough.

That looks really nice. I agree with the red on Gator. I am still kind of in shock they went that route with Hydro Blue and Gator. They have grown on me a little bit, but other times I look at my jeep and just wonder why they did all the red. lol

The red looks great on my GCM, but I completely agree with you on Gator. Your changes are subtle but really well done. The changes and highlights add a lot to the character of the truck. I always look forward to your updates!

that’s a wrap on the sills? Did you consider a line-x / raptor treatment to add some protection to that area to get the same look?

This is just to keep with the look of wayout concept and keep with the wrap line in the tailgate area. Once the rock rails are put back on most of this area will be covered up and protected by them.
I did not go the line x route cause I wanted to keep the matte black close to what the rock bars are. Line x has a different look. If it gets banged up i can always pull the wrap and line x it later.

I love the wayout look and your iteration of it. Eventually I hope to do the same sill treatment but with a line-x type protection including the sill area behind the doors (nothing on the doors) and also the rock rails and side bars. For reference, where did you set your line - about an inch below the hinges?

I believe the height on the sides is all in line with the bottom crease of the tailgate. It all lines up.

I'm digging the details. Looking great nice work.
Thanks!
Got all the parts back on today after the wrap but it was dark by the time I finished so I'll snap some final pictures outside sometime this week.

Here are some updated pictures with the wrap. Also antenna delete. And the pressure connection & quick connect connection for the upper water storage tube.
Just have matte black emblems to put on and the exterior is pretty much done except for when I add my batwing awning.

All Red badging is now removed. Completely removed the Rubicon decals and changed the fender & tailgate emblems to matte black.
