Are you basically just unscrewing existing speaker housing and jamming it in there? It is all open in between the speakers and the lighting?

Yes he’s just installing a new speaker in the existing spot but not all speakers will fit because of different size magnets.
Example if you buy a 200watt 3-1/2” it probably will not fit.

I am also very happy with them. With these and the JL sub, it is very decent at moderate levels.

I did not use the cross over in the box with the Kenwood's, I think the stock system is already filtered for the dash speakers. I used the adapters Crutchfield sent and plugged right in. Turned it on and was very pleased

I did the same thing... I also ordered mine from crutchfield and they send the adapters for free, they arrived in 3 days

Did that relay come with the kit? Some of that style qere not meant for 100% duty cycle. I love the dual battery setup. How many amphours is it? What you running the power to. I would love to do a start battery and two lithium Iron phosphate batteries, as house batteries.
