So this is my first Jeep and I know nothing of sway bar disconnects and off roading. Is this a simple install? Are there any brands to lean towards or stay away from. I won’t be off roading much at all but would like to mess around and get a cool pic of my Jeep doing what’s it’s designed to do.
That being said, I have an overland model with no lift. So I know my particular model is not as off roading ready as a rubi. I would still think it could do some pretty cool stuff though. Thanks.

You don’t actually need the special quick disconnects especially If you won’t be off-roading much. You can just unbolt them, flex it, and bolt them back in. It’s super quick.

I have installed JKS quicker disconnects. Check them out on their website and quadratec (i think quadratec sells them cheaper and forum discount). Very easy to install and simple to use. The install does require the cutting of one small tab (I used a sawzall). Just an FYI for easy disconnect/reconnect get to level ground or you'll be fighting the swaybar.

Yes, your Overland will still do very cool stuff off road, even with the sway bars connected. I just got back from flexing my Overland this past weekend and had a blast...and no damage done. I may still get the jks quick disconnects though as i wanted to disconnect mine but it was just too cold and wet to deal with the hassle.

Did you lift your overland or is it stock height?

I just had a Skyjacker 2.5 long arm lift put on it to make room for the 34’s right before the trip to AOAA and Rausch Creek. It performed fine off road and looks so much better than stock.

Just finished installing the new Teraflex sway bar disconnects. Cool thing with these is the new bracket to hold the connectors up and out of the way when disconnected. Not a hard install, but required some grinding for a heavy weld clearance and bending another of the factory brackets to make the piece fit. Should be worth it, these guys are super easy to disconnect and reconnect.

EDIT: I found it in the instructions. Thanks!

Do you remember what type of hardware they used to secure the retention bracket to the coil mount hole? Thanks!

Gotcha. . Good luck.

Note - I carry extra washers and retainer rings just in case I lose something in the mud! I’ve already used one.
Thanks!
