how are you liking the 6.4 swap ? i follow lite bright on youtube they wheel the heck out of their 6.4 hemi wrangler.
Of the dozens and dozens of vehicles I’ve owned in my life, it is by far my favorite daily driver. The hemi makes it a completely different vehicle.

Sadly, I don’t think it will be an option when ordering. A Mopar kit to convert it is more likely.
I'm perfectly fine with that, just as long as they offer it to us early owners that were previously stuck with only 1 engine option, at a significant discount...And it's still covered under our factory warranty. Damn right I'll drive up to the nearest dealership and hand them the keys and say, "Call me when it's done..." Especially if they'll let me defer my payments on it (leased) until my lease is up and I can add it to the residual owed, with an agreement to purchase at a negotiated price.

Don't you want to help donate to the AMM's JTR 6.4 Hemi swap GoFundMe? :CWL::LOL::CWL:

Yeah Jeep's been hearing that for years and nothing has come close.
Guess we’ll just have to wait and see eh. We’ll know more on Monday. I know lots of Jeepers (myself included) who are chomping at the bit for the new Bronco. It’s coming with the 2.7 which stomps the tired Pentastar in the dirt. Better remove those Jeep blinders!

We will see, no Jeep blinders here. I don't think it will even put a dent in Jeep sales but who knows, maybe Ford finally did something right after all their poor decision making. If they still had a V8 in the Raptor I'd still have my JKU and a Raptor parked in the yard, they screwed that up so no reason to believe all they Bronco Hype.

I can't believe some people think a hemi gladiator isn't a good idea. The gladiator is already over priced for what it is as a utility vehicle. If you use this as a work truck you are crazy, but a Tacoma it's a way better deal. I have worked very hard and earned enough in my life to buy a new car every 3 years, under 100k, for the rest of my life. In going to do that, and if they put a hemi in a JT and it's under 100k in buying it. Not because it's a good deal. My JTR at 54k wasn't a good deal. I'm buying it because I want it and I can afford it.
Thanks
Chris

That's a solid point, buy what you want, but you could of had a Hemi put in a Sport for $100,000 or less. I'm definitely on board with a V8 JT

I feel like if the Dodge Dakota R/T could get a V8 they could of definitely put one in the JT. 5.9 liter Magnum but it's still a V8

I had a 05 ram with the 4.7 V8 and the 3.6 penstar is way more powerful. Engines have come a long way since those days. At the end of the day we are either daily driving it or on the trail so worried about what everyone else's engine has is pointless unless your one of those tools who hangs out at Duncan Donuts to impress everyone and gets a ticket five times a year doing 80mph in a 30mph zone. I'm sure I'll get negs for the towing aspect but it's a mid sized truck common.

I don't want a 5.9 in JT, just saying if they could put a V8 in a Dakota they could put a 5.7 liter or 6.1 liter V8 in the JT. Both are Midsized trucks. Plus I'm not worried about what everyone else's engine has in, I'd would of loved the option of a V8 in my JT and if offered when I was purchasing that's the one I would own, for me not for whoever else cares. I have never bought a vehicle based on impressing anyone, I buy what I want.

Agreed, I usually go bigger engines because the heat here in AZ just destroys performance of 4 cylinders and some 6 cylinder engines. I talked my wife into the hemi in her Grand Cherokee and she loves the power and acceleration. I do agree, if a V8 was an option I would have definitely bought it!

I understand. This must of spoiled the party for the people who just ordered the 3.0:LOL:

I had a Dakota, and opted for the V6 instead of the V8, as most of my driving is on country roads, not fast freeways. If a V8 had been an option, think I still would have gotten the Penstar V6, plenty of power, even for towing.
cheers

Cj8 scramblers never offered a v8 engine . The only two engines options 2.5 liter 4 and 4.2 liter i6.
