What did I do to......... well, something I was going to do a week ago, kept forgetting, got down with more sinus stuff, didn't feel like even walking to the garage for pictures, but today stopped putting it off -
I found the rattle that my JT had since it was serviced last week.......... I found the rattle when I got out a couple of days later and my foot hit something by the left kick panel - something that shouldn't be there.

I sent the service guy a text with a pic, and my sales guy with these pics and asked him to pass them along.
The service writer responded "looks like the GPS wire, just needs to be put back up in the bracket".
But that's a lot of cable to stuff up there - surely all of that wasn't hanging down there on that panel all of these months and just the end in the bracket, wires still hanging down?
That's an edge connector - why would a GPS wire and connector be in a bracket for fast access at the kick panel?
Naw - looks more like a diagnostic connector. And all that wire, want to figure where that was stuffed. I can stick the connector back in the bracket but why would it pop out when they worked on it, and where did all that cable go originally.

So that's what I did, take three pics and contacted the dealership. HA

Ok to be clearer. This is what I added. The goal was to recenter the axle. And lift the front a little more due to the winch and bumper installing tonight.

Jeep already has a MOPAR lift with 3/4” spacers front and rear.

Added -
Synergy front track bar.
Skyjacker rear track bar. (Sort of cheaped out a little here because it’s such simple part)
Teraflex 1.5” spacer kit. (Replacing the 3/4” front spacer)
Skyjacker longer sway bar links. (After the TF spacers it was no longer positioned right)

Comparison pic of the 3/4 vs 1.5 spacers too (they’re incorrectly stacked in the pic). Also one from stock with 37s, first lift and now the new getup. Bottom to top.

Got my turning radius back, was very happy about that. Axles are perfectly centered now.

Installed my hothead headliners but managed to scratch the Jeep in the process of putting the rear hardtop by myself. There are several videos on YouTube showing one person removal but not a one person put back.

Anyways it’s installed, and I used rubbing compound to remove the scratch. I’m never messing with the hardtop again unless I have an assist.

Wilwood brakes and Airlift airbags installed today.

Also updated my fender decals from Under the Sun junk (distorted print and cheap vinyl) to this 2 pc set from Pixie Decals.

Nice to see another EVO guy on here. Is that an Evo 2.5" lift, or just the track bar? I'm curious to know how well the Airlift 1000 bags work with the extra lift height over stock... I've considered adding some to mine incase I get another boat, which will be close to 5,500 lbs. dry weight, so if I tow, I hate the rear squat, because the truck handles like shit when that happens.

Just the EVO rear track bar but its quality stuff. The lift is Mopar.
Yeah, I will let you know tomorrow. My boat is 4k lbs. There isnt much space between the contact points and top/bottom of the bags. Currently at 14 PSI with a max of 35 PSI.

Awesome! 2" vs. 2.5" isn't going to make a difference, if I had to guess. I'll be running the EVO 2.5" Enforcer Stage 2 Plus lift, as soon as I get the time and money to pay Elite Offroad to remove my spacer setup, and toss my Evo stuff in there. If I still had my 50x50 shop with my rotary lift and all my tools, I'd have swapped it out LONG ago.

Also, what was the part # of that brake kit... If I ever have to replace pads, and rotors, might as well drop the coin on a better setup for towing.

How much will that lift set you back?

Ill PM you with part numbers. Its seperate for each the front and rear set. I gotta pull up my Jegs account and see what the part #s were.

Cool. Thanks!

It's not as bad as one would think... Being that I have a Rubicon, I'm keeping the stock Fox shocks, and just running shock extension brackets. That will save some money, as well.

Labor won't be bad... I think they told be about $500 for labor getting everything installed, adjusted, and 100% dialed-in, and $600 (total) if I have them do a digital (machine) 4-wheel alignment afterwards. Which I might as well spring for. At that point, what's $100...And it's guaranteed if something wears funny or messes up. Haha

do you mind posting those part numbers?
I would also consider switching at some point instead of just replacing OEM...
Thanks

Today, I did the second mod for my Gladiator (only have 174 miles on it- first mod was fire extinguisher mount).

I added Rubbermaid storage containers in the rear in front of the built in storage box. I then made a quick "package platform" so that its more of a flat floor for when I want to throw crap in the back.

Its a simple piece of plywood I had that I covered with leftover automotive carpet. Unfortunately, its not as big of mod as the rest of you guys with your lifts etc :)

I really like this simple mod. What size containers did you use and what is the measurement of the plywood? If you remember. Tks for sharing.

How are the latched on those. I have had to adjust the heck out of my cheap ones. They still rattle from time to time, and are hard for the kids to shut.

New EAG winch bumper. The factory bumpers are an eye sore IMO.

I used 2 Rubbermaid Roughneck 3 gallon black storage totes that I ordered from here:

https://www.doitbest.com/shop/stora...roughneck-3-gal-black-storage-tote?SKU=608254

You can go larger, but I wanted them small enough that I can easily move them if I was going to have rear seat passengers. Plus, they are just to hold tie-downs and an air compressor, etc. My main objective was creating a "flat floor", not so much the extra storage (although there is also space next to the totes on the floor that you could put stuff).

The plywood I cut down to 2' x4' and then made a small cutout on the front edge so I can still use the rear cupholders as I often throw a spray can or spray sanitizer in them. So, I didn't want to block the holders.

I did later add two small lengths of a 2"x3" (maybe 12" long each) that I screwed to the underside of the platform where it sits at the Rubbermaid totes (so the boards rest on the tote lids). I realized that the rear OEM storage box lid goes up at an angle, so the platform would rock some. So I attached the pieces of 2"x3" to stop the rock. I originally just put two rolled up towels on top of the totes that did the same thing -if you don't want to bother with the 2"x3" boards. Its easy to see what I mean about the rocking the first time you trial fit the plywood.
