I wish I would have known this before I bought it...Amazon gives you 2 options: with the overrider bar or with the tow hooks and winch plate. The tow hooks definitely come with either but I assumed that the one that came with the overrider bar didn't come with the winch tray.

I believe one part number is with with bar and one without. Both come with winch plate as far as I know. Oh and Amazon is the devil.

went to hurricane creek in western NC!

Went off roading for the first legitimate time this past Thursday @ Uwharrie. Went to Wolf's Den and Fall's Dam. Not too bad, a few sketchy spots and lots of speed bumps that led to belly scraping on my stock JTR with front winch. My wife helped spot several times.

Going to Hurricane Creek was hard to get to, youtube it. The trail itself was long, pretty dry mostly today, and mostly straightforward until towards the end where we got lost. it took us around 2.5 hours if i had to guess. several creek crossings that weren't too deep. the trail was mostly tame but had a handful of puckering incidents. There is this long muddy bit of deep mud in a well worn spot where you can tell the trail used to be several feet higher than it is now, judging from the walls and the middle of the trail, THAT was scary. Just slow and steady and lots of luck. Not much damage seen, bent my running boards a smidge. Did not get much footage because the best moments were also the worst to think about pics lol.

Offroading like this is stressful for me lol, I won't do anything crazy like this much. But I wanted to test its capabilities, limitations (stock and otherwise) and get more used to it. I think I will do more overlanding and camping then rock climbing though, whiteknuckled the whole time I plan on small lift and 35s when the pockets allow, maybe some light protection under too.

One is indeed without the winch tray and with the overrider, while the other has the winch tray but no overrider. The Rugged Ridge site itself displays the options this way.

Looks good. I ordered this same bumper from quadratec after getting rear ended a few weeks ago. I got no tracking number on my shipment and ignored on every email. Last time I'll order from them.

Hopefully it shows up soon. Mine came 2 days after ordering it. I was shocked!

If you have a plastic stock bumper with parking assist you’ll need to buy different bezels and/or brackets. I’m still working on that. It looks like the part number listed in the directions is wrong.

Lucky you. I think I'll be ok because I don't have any options on my Sport. I'm gonna run into problems though when my willco tiregate comes in. I forgot the back up camera is in the stock tailgate. I think they were working on a kit. Does anyone know if it's legit to charge a credit card before an item even ships. I was told 4-5 weeks but immediately posted on my credit card. Makes me kinda nervous especially with places going out of business.

Still waiting on wheels and tonneau cover to arrive, seem to be backordered or delayed pretty significantly these days.

Swapped out the Gloss Black and Silver grill for the mopar satin black grill and satin black fog light surrounds

Finished the install on my underseat lockable security boxes........unfortunately, the passenger side only has 1 bolt in the right position for mounting them.....the drivers side has 2. (WTF were you thinking FCA ??)
Quick and easy install using a paper template. Total cost...….less than $60 ….Including the Hornady boxes ! 16ga. steel with barrel keys and 4' of 5/16" aircraft cable, looped onto the child seat tether on the back wall. Box is 7" x 10" x 2" and TSA approved.

There is no mounting plate.....I drilled thru the bottom side of the steel box itself....its 16ga steel. Went with a 1/4" hole, and used a thick washer with some new bolts (they're metric) and about 5/8" longer than the originals that were in there, they go right into the body mounts. The boxes were about $25 each online (Midway). I went with the Hornady boxes because of the barrel key......much harder to pick than a regular key, and the 3 bolts and washers were about $3. Remember, this isn't for "long term" storage......this is for when you're out and you find you need to run into Walmart, or a Post office or someplace that doesn't allow carrying, for a minute.....just unstrap, lock and go ! Like I said.....the only disappointment was that the passenger side only has 1 bolt.....but they BOTH have the aircraft cable bolted to the rear child tethers...I just have to notch the drivers side box cause the notch needs to be on the other side, but a grinder and about 5 seconds and its good to go !
