Hey guys I am about to pull the trigger on a gladiator sport S with max tow. I am coming from a 2019 F150. I know that they are a different class of trucks. I do finding myself driving my wife’s JLU all the time instead of my F150. I really do love her Jeep. I guess I am just looking for some reassurance from the group here to pull the trigger.

I recommend you read issues and TSB thread. There are some build dates to avoid. Wish I knew that before buying mine

If your needs don’t warrant a full size truck, and a midsized will do most, if not all of what you would need to do, I’d get it. It all depends on your hauling/towing needs. I went from having 2 full size Ram Bighorns, (back to back), to the JT and I love it! To be honest, my wife and I both only drove the Rams about 3 or 4 times a month, each. Now, we fuss over who’s turn it is to drive. I pull a 14’ trailer occasionally, and the Jeep pulls it fine. Well, so far.....I’ve pulled it with 8 railroad ties in it, and once with a trike on it. Also, the only issue I’ve had, so far, is the leak in the rear hard top window. But, I fixed that myself. Otherwise, so far, so good. That with almost 4,000 miles on it. Good luck, whatever you decide.

FWIW, leaving the house today and lo and behold a firecracker softtop max tow sport s is parked in front of my beach rental. I stopped and asked how they like it, nothing but glowing review. 5k miles purchased new in January. Im presently impatiently waiting for my JTR order to be shipped from ohio to my dealer.

so my F150 has a max tow capacity of 7600 pounds. As fast as that goes it will do the same. I guess my concern is the back seat. I have a 9 year old and a 12 year old along with a 50lb dog and we go camping a lot.

Go for it! I was torn between a ram and the JT. Glad i chose the jeep. Every vehicle will have its issues and warranty stuff, and the jeep is no exception. But at the end of the day I smile every time I see it in my driveway. If it makes you happy than its an easy choice imo.

Jobolly, get the Gladiatotor, you'll know why we like Jeeps about half way home, when a pretty young blonde in a jeep waves to you! I'm over 60, gotta get what I get , no one waves to me in my Suburban, I'm downsizing from to a Mojave for that reason only!
I love the look on my wife's face when we are driving in her jeep and girls wave to me, I just look over and say see, I'm still hot! The last time she turned up the A/C and said there ya go!.......Jack

I’ll have mine a week tomorrow. I traded a Tundra. I go out and look at this truck in the driveway just to look at it. All of my neighbors that I have seen since last week have told me how much they like it. Your kids will love it when the roof comes off. I’ve only got one child and a dog so I can’t comment on 3 in the back but I love this truck.

Went from a Tundra crewmax to the JT, it is great so much easier to drive in the city and park. I have two kids, 14 and 17 and a 40lb springer spaniel and the rear seat is not as big as the Tundra but no complaints, we go most weekends to a place 2.5 hours away. I had a JKU for a couple years and really missed it, for me the JT checks all the boxes, it’s a truck and a Jeep my two favorite things.

Go down with your boys and dog and hop on in, there's plenty of room back there! Odd though i can't see the max tow option at jeep, I have a sport with the max tow, no issues other than the coolant cap mysteriously dissapearing, close to or at redline for I don't know how long, as I was on the highway, music blasting having the time of my life in my JT!! Dealer says no damage, the jeep puts a smile on almost everyone's face.

Go do it

I’ll be going from a 19 Ram Rebel to a Gladiator at the end of the month

Why so low of rating behind the f150? Mine is 10,700 on my ‘18 f150 supercrew & 5.5 bed.
