Update:

I went to drop my Jeep off at grapevine jeep chrysler dodge at the time of my appointment. They said they would have it all weekend, wouldn't give me a rental, and they couldn't guarantee that they wouldn't charge me for looking at it if they find something wrong. Another hour wasted by another dealership. I will am going to go to a chevy dealership this weekend and consider getting rid of the gladiator for a tahoe or a chevy bison.

(From your OP): Do I go trade the gladiator in and go with the Chevy Bison that I was thinking about?
Is this your first JEEP? First vehicle with 2 solid axles?
Maybe try another dealer.
Maybe go to a quality JEEP aftermarket place and talk to them about your JEEP's "issues."
Maybe contact @JeepCares
Maybe escalate your issues and concerns with FCA/JEEP
Maybe get some JEEP owners to talk to in addition to asking the internet
Maybe trade the Gladiator in for that awesome Chevy Buffalo you were thinking about

Are you illiterate? This thread legitimately explains that I've explored all of those options and have taken it to three different dealerships at this point. Maybe if you thought less about what witty remark you can write, and listened more to what other people say, people wouldn't think you were an asshole on this forum.
Did you try Frisco Jeep? They have been super helpful with my Gladiator. Recall and non-recall issues.

Yeah, you're right. Like I said, this is an aftermarket band-aid, akin to what they wanted me to do with the track bar. This is the closest thing that I have found to an aftermarket solution, from a youtube channel called JKgearandgadgets. I think even if you buy this brace you have to buy another part to go onto the steering box. I could be wrong, I didn't do much more research after I saw the initial $250 price.
That brace won't take care of pull or play in the steering gear. It's only going to take out any flex which you may not even have. It won't do much on a decent highway.

I will continue my story here. I was denied by both a dealership and FCA Canada for having the Mopar Lift installed. The lift was installed by the dealership and is deemed aftermarket by FCA so thus, they won't honour the TSB. Truck is 9 months old with less than 6000kms on it. Its essentially new. Feeling completely abandoned and left down by Jeep....
Having a lift has nothing to do with whether or not they can do the TSB. If they do the TSB the claim will get paid. There's no pre-approval or digital imaging process for this repair. There's nothing in the TSB that says not to do it if there's any modifications to the steering or suspension. They're just being dicks.

Have you ever taken a vehicle to a dealership for service?

They cannot charge you for looking at your vehicle when you're there for a warranty issue.

Why didn't you talk to the Service Manager or the General Manager?

Just go to a Chevy dealership and dump the Gladiator. But what will you do when the Chevy Buffalo takes a shit in your driveway? What will you trade it in on then?

To the OP what was the outcome at Grapevine? I am planning to drop mine on Monday at that same location but if they are just going to waste my time I just look elsewhere.

I took it there with an appointment at 11:30 today. They said that they would have to keep the vehicle all weekend and I would have to pay for a rental to get home from the dealership. They also stated that if they found that the problem was a result of my mopar lift then they could charge me for the appointment to check the problems out. I didn't want to pay for a loaner for the weekend and I didn't have a ride arranged, so I left and rescheduled for Monday morning.

Please feel free to send our team a private message with your VIN and mileage. We would be happy to look into this further and offer our additional assistance alongside your dealer.

Thanks Kathryn, PM sent.

I didn't mean to de-rail this thread, just wanted to mention that, like the OP, my aftermarket parts are getting this TSB denied for me. Only difference is it's my warranty company, not the dealer, giving me trouble.

Hopefully the OP and anyone else with a similar issue can get the steering gear replaced, I keep hearing very good things about the updated part.

Really clever suggestions! I Hadn't ever thought of those! Yeah this is my first time at a dealership ever! How'd ya know!?!?!?
1.) I worked at a dealership in service to pay my way through college.
2.) Not what they said at the dealership. They said I would pay for the appointment if they had to keep my vehicle over the weekend and they fixed the problem while it was there, and the problem wasn't under warranty. I said this in my last post, which you tagged... if you would have read the words.
3.) Covid policies dictate you cant just walk in, they come out and see you. I also have a job so I can't waste several hours in the middle of the day waiting to get service.
4.) I had a chevy truck from 2010-2020 (three weeks ago) never had problems with it, never had to take it to a dealership. I've had the gladiator for three weeks and can't even get somebody at a dealership to talk to me.

I am going to avoid getting in on the side discussions here but I would suggeat getting @JeepCares involved with your troubles. They have helped a few people with this. Sounds like the dealers you are trying are not too helpful.
Unfortunately all brands seem to have the same stories with dealers not helping. It is maybe a bit more vocal here because most brands don't have the following and cult appeal that Jeeps do. And there probably isn't any other brand that is as modified on a regular basis. Making for dealers that don't want to touch anything. I find it absolutely ridiculous that any dealer would deny anything because of a lift that the manufacturer itself provides. That shouldn't even be a talking point. Are you saying that the part you engineer and market for your own vehicle is causing a problem? Just absurd.

I hope you can get a resolution to this. If you do decide to dump the JT I wish you luck with that as well. That diesel Bison seems like a pretty cool setup.

Thanks partner, I have cooled down a little bit and have talked to jeep cares and am hoping they will help... Though they were supposed to contact this second dealership that I went to and ensure everything went smoothly, and that certainly didn't happen.

I'm just incredibly frustrated with the situation because I saved for three years to pay cash for this truck, I really love almost everything about it, but I can't get help to fix this one thing. The frustration is compounded bc I used to work at a dealership to pay my way through college and I used to hate watching management jerk customers around like these places are trying to do to me.

Good for you. You got @JeepCares involved  just like I suggested before you started calling me names.

And just because you worked at a dealership you clearly don't know how to deal with them as a customer. Perhaps you can take someone with you. Maybe your dad :like:

You can do this. You can get your truck's issues understood and addressed at the dealership if you know how to deal with them.

1.) I contacted jeep cares before you jumped on this thread, not because of your brilliant suggestion. (Again specified this in my first post and my second post, which you didn't read but replied to, apparently)
2.) I didn't call you names, I observed that many people think you're an asshole on the forum because you act like one. I called you illiterate because you either can't read or choose not to; I'm not sure which is worse. Also, illiterate isn't a name, it's an adjective.
3.) Oh another really clever suggestion. Wish I could take my dad to the dealership but he died of pancreatic cancer a few years back.

Also, change your picture icon you perv. It weirds me out.

WhatExit? Man, you know I enjoy your wild and sarcastic humor but some don’t see it and its taken to be a bit too strong. Gotta understand some of the frustration from the OP though as well.

caint we all jis git a long.

As for Samuel, I am not sure if it has been pointed out yet but I think what the dealership really means by charging you is that they can’t warranty the lift kit install that may have been done by a private company, yourself or another dealership. Although if you have your original sales paperwork they may cover the lift install if it was done by another dealership. As for a rental, yeah unfortunately those aren’t usually covered for a TSB but if you bought the truck there the dealership May hook you up with one.

other than that good luck with whatever path you end up taking.
