I haven't read through all of this, but Jeep Cares has been blowing me up to get the new TSB done. They've been contacting me since I complained about my steering in the past. They set up an appointment and expedited the new box being ordered. They took over the ordering and the part is supposed to be here a few more days. I don't care because they put me in a loaner and I'm in the process of moving and the minivan is actually super handy and kinda nice (35th anniversary limited). As long as they get it done soon and the updated box makes a big improvement like they say it does, I'm very happy with this level of customer service.

Has the TSB completed on our truck Wednesday and Thursday. Not sure why it took two days, but it's done and the dealer provided a rental car.

Went in on 11/16. The dealership confirmed it and ordered the parts. Couple weeks later it was done. Steering doesn't feel sloppy or loose. Feels like you would expect a new vehicle to feel.

Had TSB done... Gladiator feels solid and like any other truck in terms of handling. I have noticed the PS whine become more audible, additionally there is an air leak type noise accompanied by a constant whistle coming from the steering/dash area. Noise stops with auto stop engaged at stop light etc. Dealer was able to replicate and said they only completed a few TSB orders and the one they did most recently exhibited the same noise (air leak sound) but not the whistle. Anyone else hear/experience this? They left the ticket open and will wait for Jeep to get back with them on if that’s the new “norm” with new steering box, or if something else is the culprit.

Hi Community members ,

Hope everyone is well in these surrealist COVID times . Here in Canada it is on the rise and hospitals are reaching max capacity , it will be a long winter .

I want to share a very disappointing and upsetting Jeep experience regarding this with my Jeep Gladiator Rubicon.

In September I performed a dealer visit regarding this bulletin , lead technician confirmed the wandering on the road and complaint . I was happy I didn't need to fight with dealer , like some members here . Parts were ordered during first week of September .

Aftr following up with dealer on numerous time , I was advised parts would be in Mid November , when I didn't get a call , I waited till last week as here it was crazy winter tire season in dealers , By law you need to have winter tires on your vehicle by 1st of December in this Province . I followed up with dealer and they said they still didn't receive anything .

I opened a case with Jeep Customer care in Canada , the agent got back to me and after checking my story , confirmed that the order was cancelled the 11th of November by Jeep and I would need to place a new order on December 20th ...I cannot understand how or why we have to proceed like this and I am extremely disappointed and pissed . This was my 5th Jeep vehicle purchased , it wasn't cheap either ($65 000 Canadian) . After a year of ownership , my only issue is that its not fun to drive on the highway as it needs constant corrections and very good concentration if its windy . Now in winter condition it makes it dangerous .

Why create a bulletin , if dealers orders get cancelled and we need to re-order using the same bulletin and parts number ? Who's to say the next order won't get cancelled also ?

IN light of COVID I understand that some suppliers are affected , but reading here the short wait times in U.S and big completion rate , it is extremely disappointing and makes me wonder and regret purchasing this vehicle up to a point .

A disappointed Jeeper from up North .

Any dealer worth their salt would automatically have you on a list and place that order or keep checking into it, either way. A dealer that orders, lets it get cancelled and then waits for YOU to respond isn't a good dealer, IMO.
They should have called you and told you they'd re-order as soon as they could.
This "you would need to place a new order" is I hope a mistake in wording - if that dealer is worth a damn, THEY would - and should - re-order! No input from you should be needed but obviously that's not how Jeep or that dealer works.

I gave JeepCares the list of needed parts from the TSB. They were able to get them and had them sent to the dealer with my name on them. It is supposed to be ready to pickup tomorrow. When I first took it in for the TSB, the dealer told me about the parts issues and said it could be next March before they received them.

Time to go to FCA Jeep Canada Customer Care.
I told them my Jeep was unsafe. Things went smoothly after that.
Contact @JeepCares first. Then follow through; following through is really important.

Things will only get worse (slower) as time goes by. Owners will hear, and demand the replacement. In Canada Dealers just had a trade-in blitz. I bet every JL or JT they take in will have a new steering box on it before it's sold....

Two reasons for cancelling orders. Cost? Or problems with the new steering gear?

Recall?

Supply chain issues. Not cost, not problems. Not a recall.

That's exactly right. Supply chain. Heck, look at any store - some things we took for granted a year ago, can't get now. Some things I could get a response on in 2 days - it's a week now. I asked a guy who works for Pepsi why I wasn't seeing a certain product "can't get the cans, so we're having to concentrate on our very best sellers to keep those in supply to keep revenue coming in". In other words, if they used the cans for things not selling as fast or as well, or not generating the same profit margin, they'd be in trouble.
My wife is getting a new wedding ring/engagement set - it's about time as what we could afford back then was pretty, well, cheap. Guess what - the jeweler is having trouble - staffing issues, and supply issues (This is a custom job, not "off the shelf" using her existing diamond). It's been over a month and no word. I noticed their stock in the display cases is also down from what they normally have.
It is what it is. Frustrating as hell, yeah, it is, but............

I finally got the call that my parts came in and I have an appointment scheduled for Wednesday morning. I’m hoping to be able to provide a review by Wednesday evening. My service contact said that the work actually takes about double the time Jeep estimates, but still within one day. I’m not paying so I don’t really care.

My new steering gearbox took 2 days to install. Mostly because of the three new computer flashes
