Oracle, Any chance you will offer option B at a discount to forum members that are early adopters - kickstarters to help you get production going?
We will definitely make a post if we are able to offer a discounted groupbuy on these. Thanks for the interest and input here!

Thanks all for your feedback here. We are definitely using your input for customizing this design. We'll be sure to provide updates on any production estimates as well as possible early-preordering options as available.

Cool, thanks. And this could resolve my problem with it being so dark backing down our driveway, especially in not great weather. It's dark out here, ZERO street lights and my wife wants the Christmas lights off the house next month - right now the glow from the lights on the roof helps.

Clearly I'm in the minority here but I'd prefer A. the mix of lights and reflector just looks kludged together to me, I'd prefer all one or all the other...

Which menu is that under, please?

It is actually a live function that will occur automatically when the unit is plugged in and left plugged in.

I like A, but I think you should make both, after reading all the reasons for both, I think the retail end of this is telling you to get everybody’s money

Can the light color be changed based on use? Possibly a red for rear visibility on street and switch to yellow on trails

These are going to be AWESOME! I prefer A, but will buy either one as soon as one or both are available! Long curvy dark driveway with trees on either side! The option of using the aux buttons are what I want.

C ( Option B with the Red being activated by brake and turn signals ).

If you can't do C, I vote A.

Since they are LED - why not C with your option of activation by brake or turn, and make them blink amber when using turn signals, red for brake lights, and reflectors otherwise.
OK, I think maybe I've gone too far - doubt they can do all that and maintain any part of them as reflectors.
OK, then the backup light is white in reverse, red with park lights on, bright for brakes, amber for turn. The red remaining reflector.
You can do anything with LED - you should see my wife's LED lights in the sunroom - they keep changing colors.

Cheaper, faster, and functional option

. The location is a bit vulnerable if you're wheeling hard. - that is where the hole was:)

We have just completed production for a reverse light for the JL to increase visibility backing up at night. A common complaint we hear is low visibility when backing up at night because the factory reverse lights (even with LED tail lights) do not produce enough light for the backup camera to work well in the dark.

The solution we made for the JL replaces with factory rear bumper reflectors with functional LED lights which increase the usable light by 20x when measured in Lux.

(see full demonstration click here)

The Gladiator has an even larger reflector which can be more easily accessed (faster installation) and would mount with the factory hardware and tap into the reverse lights (or connect to Aux switch).

We want to hear feedback from members here if you would prefer:

A) Use the total space for LED placement to maximize the number of LEDs and light output.

B) Share the space with a scaled-down reflector to maintain the reflector function.

Either way these would have MORE LEDs than the JL version which is very bright!

Let us know your thoughts!
Either would be a vast improvement over what we have currently. But my preference would be A

I prefer B because I want to be able to pass a safety inspection and I'd be afraid that if I got rear-ended that the offending driver's insurance company would have an reason to not cover the damage 100% and/or I'd get sued by said insurance company or the driver themselves because of a lack of NHTSA mandated reflectors. This may be a little "conspiracy theorist", but I see no need to take unnecessary risks.
