Finally took the gladiator to the dealer to check up. He told me he as to check with a glass company and he will call me ven though I told him the problem. Nothing was resolved in this visit and the nearest Jeep dealer is 45 minutes from my home. Also I am having a problem with the radio that just shuts off and restarts it have done it 5-6 times. Also the radio does not shows the favorites that are playing and twice the backup camera was not on when the car went in reverse. This is the first time I had problems with a Jeep. All my cars are Jeeps. But all the rest are pre FCA models. Obviously the quality and service have changed. They told the dealer they can not process any order for a new radio until 2 weeks from now . Around the 20th. Jeep no longer cares.

Visited with dealer yesterday. After confirming the leak and taking photos they are reaching out for the approval to replace my top in lieu of the back glass. I'm not confident this will be approved as I have the Hotheads headliners with sound assassin strips and that is an added replacement expense. Should know more in a day or so.

I was thinking the same thing, I have some thin weatherstrip I can fold into a V shape like a rain gutter and stick it in there.

I just noticed mine leaking the other day when I washed it, granted I was pointing the hose right at the gap rinsing off soap. I park in the garage and just put the hardtop back on a couple weeks ago (soft top was on all summer/fall) and never noticed a leak before but I do remember cleaning the inside of the back window and it some streaks.

I was at the Jeep dealer the other day and was looking at a new JT rubicon and it was raining, you could see the water dripping down the inside of the window. I think I will wait a while and maybe they will come up with a real fix if enough people complain, doesnt look like its easy to replace that glass.
Do you have a photo of your thin weather strip?im trying to fix my leak myself and looking for ideas

I cut down a strip of weatherstrip out of a tailgate seal that came with a bed cover, wasnt thin enough and didnt stick well. Think it leaked worse with it lol. Mine doesnt leak bad, in a bad storm or washing I will just see some streaks on the inside glass from water running down, water doesnt appear to have made it to the floor yet.

Luckily I have a soft top that doesnt leak that I put on in the summer when the rain is really bad here. Not sure even getting a whole new top from the dealer will fix anything at this point unless they revise something, probably needs a rain gutter over the window, the way it is with the glass and seal almost sticking out (aero most likely) its going to be never ending issue just like the 5th gen trucks. But the gutter wont help if snow gets packed in there and starts melting.

One of the reasons I got rid of my '19 Ram was the sliding back window was leaking/cracked trim inside..

@JeepCares I also have this issue and the dealership stated they have never seen this. I took these from a rain yesterday and emailed them to the service manager. What is the correct step to repair in one stop?

Add me to the list of leaky back windows (and side passenger above door). I'm not taking it back to the dealer until I start seeing a better solution all around - replacement hard top? After my debacle with the huge lack of quality during the steering TSB, I'm not touching my dealer if I don't have to. Which is unfortunate. Love the Jeep, but highly annoyed be a few persisting issues that need to be resolved by awful service departments.
Just went out today and see mine is leaking too. Wonderful. Should I have gone with a soft top?
Appointment later today with the local dealership.

So are they just replacing the glass or top as well?

Still waiting now it’s been 10 days since I went to the dealer. They said they will call me. No call or follow up , don’t know the status of my radio or leaking window. No idea when or what should be done to fix this .

Heard from the dealership yesterday. Replacement of the rear portion of the hardtop has been approved. ETA for the top is 2/11/2021.

FCA has not yet approved replacement for the HotHeads headliner, but the dealership said they were still pursuing and I had to provide a copy of my headliner invoice.

It's been a bit since I put them in my LJ, but I believe the Hotheads are using adhesive Velcro. If so, they might be able to just get new strips for the hardtop side and swap your panels over.

jwilson, I believe you are correct. They would need more velcro, as well as the sound assassin strips.
