I was driving under an overpass at less than 15 mph. There were big orange barrel cones 6 to 8 feet off the side of the road. As I started to accelerate the auto braking kicked in bringing the jeep to a complete stop then I was on the move again almost immediately. I have had the system beep at/scold me a few times bit that was always with cause. Anyone else experienced this.
The auto braking system wasn't really something I wanted but the price was hard to pass up at the time.

I know i can turn it off but if I have an accident while it is off the insurance company might have something to say about it.

And that is why I didn’t order that option. I have it on the semi I drive. It does the same thing from time to time. Very unnerving.
Ya the guy behind me looked at me like I was out of my mind.

I've had it happen while travelling under an overpass as well. It did not come to a complete stop, but beeped and hit the brakes. It has happened multiple time with the same overpass. I was wondering if the shadow caused by the overpass causes the issue? I haven't noticed this happening recently, but it's been cloudy or nighttime when I hit this area lately. In addition to this, I had it actually hit the brakes really hard (chirping the tires) when I wasn't very close to the person changing lanes in front of me. This incident was the most un-nerving. I'm concerned that this SAFETY feature is just not quite ready for prime time. I haven't researched to see if this happens with other vehicle manufacturers systems.

Nitroexpress the overpass thing is interesting. I wondered if it might be related. It was definitely different then other times it has yelled at me. In settings you can choose when it intervenes but I'm not sure which one would be it's lowest sensitivity.

I didn't know there was a setting for it. I'll have to research that, as I could use less sensitivity, even aside from the overpass thing.

I rented a Nissan recently that would (try to) brake check at the exact same spot in the hotel parking garage every time, without exception. It was definitely getting fooled by a shadow.

I have mine set to the middle setting, can't remember what it says. After owning my truck for 3 months now it has only gone off once and it was because some girl crossed in front of me very slowly. it beeped and applied light braking but i was also going less than 30. i believe if you have it set for "far" it'll activate the farther away you are from an object(more sensitive).

The auto-cruise likes to keep tracking vehicles using exit ramps off the freeway and brake with them even though you're not following.

I see things like this now and then and wonder- why, after 14 months and 12,000 miles have I not had that happen, ever....... I have mine set so if I'm not touching the brake and some fool in front of me hits his for a last second turn just feet away, it yells and brakes, but that's the only time it's ever gone off, ever.
Maybe our overpasses aren't as dark and narrow?

I wonder - maybe there's some alignment, adjustment, etc. as these are supposed to use a combined radar and camera approach, so it's supposed to detect something solid, not just an image, is how I understood it.

Or...........maybe........ the government has declassified and released some documents recently.....
Perhaps it detects cloaked ships?

I’m placing an order for my second gladiator tomorrow and had been considering ordering this mostly for the auto bright headlights and the adaptive cruise on road trips.

Do most of y’all find this useful and would you order again?

Was the first issue I'd had. I do like the cruise control. I don't know if i would choose to pay for it but I do like having it. Just depends how important the cruise control is. When I got mine was pretty marked down.
