Just gotta say it. I love it. I love driving top down, country roads, good tunes, while rowing my own. I love throwing whatever in the bed and getting it to where I need. I love towing our scout camp trailer without concern. I love the jeep community. I love being able to turn my own wrench.. Yes, there are issues (#MT), wants (#towingcpacity), and dreams (#NAv8), but man...I have not had a vehicle i have felt a more visceral connection. I love my JT. Cheers to us, and those like us.
I also own a 2017 GC Trailhawk which is an awesome rig to drive. But it's not the same fun as driving the JTR.

Yes this is Nemo. Anyone in the area should check this place out. Nice trails and the tunnel is really something unique. Another forum member here actually told me about it. I’m more towards Chattanooga, but it was worth the drive.
Looking back, I believe that was me. haha. I forget easily. Glad you found it.

Never had a Jeep before, wanted a truck, happened to be a jeep.
And Dayum, I`m loving it.
It`s more fun having the top off, driving down the road, peaceful, mellow, found my chill space.
Oh, BTY, my wife now has a Jeep grin she only gets when we drive the Gladiator.
It`s the shit!

After having 6 wranglers (YJ, TJ, JK, JL) over the past 25 years I had a sleepless night before committing to trading my JL Rubicon in for a JT. A few weeks later and I could not be happier. I love the versatility while still maintaining all the things I love about owning a Jeep.

We don't really come from ''the Jeep'' back ground.
Never belonged to a Jeep club but that thinking is changing.

We started w/ an '82 J-20 & a '95 YJ all bought used in NM & always kept there (until recent) for my many trips out there to ride dirt bikes etc. Then started to take NM locals out into the high plains desert to see things they only heard about during my bike rides. The Jeeps started to grow on me but no passion, just a couple of very capable 4X4s that could take a beating over some rough roads.

Then we bought a used '17 Rubicon 4dr. Wife liked it ok but never went into the woods riding thing.
This was in NE FL. Nothing like NM. It was sold quickly.

Wife started to want a better riding pick up after I drove the J20 back from NM. Yes, it was more than rough riding but it was a retired USAF J-20 patrol truck so I kept it alive.

So we started to see this Jeep pick-up truck thing. Looked carefully for nearly a year, mostly the cost turned us off, (there were no used ones on the market at the time). Plus the dealers kept adding ''fees'' to what could have been a sale. Yes, we are cheap.

Then from a Mercedes deanship our sales guy asked if we were still in the market for etc ?
Said yes & in the area. He said good cause he had one on the way over from another corporate owned dealership of Land Rovers. We were there as the thing rolled onto the parking lot.

For the first time in our 50 yr marriage, my wife hit me. She popped me in the ribs w/ her elbow & whispered something I still don't understand. When the door opened she stepped forward & saw those brown/tan covered seats & climbed behind the wheel. George, our sales guy, ''so you want a test drive?" Let's go wife replied & off we went & w/o George.

I know this is longer that most all would care to read.....me too. But that woman could not stop talking & suggesting we trade the other two jeeps in on this 3 months used JTR.

To this day she has put more miles on it than me & now enjoy driving in the woods, heck likes driving it everywhere
Her AMG is now sitting unless I suggest it be driven to ''keep it up''. She suggest I now drive it but never off pavement.

Not only do I have a like new Gladiator but a very different wife.
I know she is only 72, but like I said, she likes to take off & go into the woods.
Guys get your wife a Gladiator & hang on.........THANK YOU Jeep.

They are 20s, wanted 18s but got a killer deal on these and they are forged two piece wheels. So far I had no issues off road and they wash up nice. Actual highspeed off road stuff they work well aired down.

What size tires and do you like your camper looks like you have a slide out
Nice set
The tires are Toyo AT3’s 285/75/17’s with a Teraflex 1 1/2” level kit. The camper is a RPod 189 that’s 20’ long with a small slide. Perfect for the two of us.
