You'll definitely need to regear. I upgraded my steering and had the Steering box TSB done. I'll be doing the Ball joint delete kit very soon as well. Jeep drives awesome with the 39s though. And just works offroad.

thanks for the feedback, I was thinking of regearing regardless even with 37’s is there a recall for the steering box all across for all gladiators or are there certain criteria to meet to have it done at a dealership, you also mentioned i ton steering right?

Those of you running 37s should mention if they will fit in the spare location or not. Not all 37s are true so wondering which ones can get up under there.

Why not, if your running oversized tires don’t you want a full size spare? Gonna ruin your diffs if you gotta swap out a spare any time, or you meaning your gonna run a spare in your bed, personally I want to keep my bed open for hauling stuff so that’s why my 35 is under the bed, like to hear more opinions though...

Don't get touchy-when U R younger it may be easy to Haul a 110 lb tire out of the Mud to replace a flat but at 72-It ain't that EZ-Think about IT!

Very true.. (I’m used to semi tires) and I’m 30 but what’s your plan though if you have to put a spare on? Just curious?

I’m running 37/13.50R20 Milestar Patagonia MT Tires. I ordered the same tire but for the original stock 17” rim. Fit is tight but with some persuasion was able to get spare mounted underneath. Also lowered air pressure some, as well. Nonetheless, am carrying
the 37” Patagonia underneath.

I Ordered a Wilco Rig that will attach to the bed rack and fit between the wheel well at the tailgate side of the bed. It's in the mail so I should know soon how it works. Easier than hands and knees!

Because I want to use the bed as a bed and not a glorified spare tire hauler. I had to do this in my 2001 Tacoma because a 33 wouldn't fit underneath with the suspension I was running. It sucked.
Also, all you have to do is lay it down back up over it put it in the spare hoist and hoist it up in there. I don't want to be messing around with lifting them up in/out of the bed every time I rotate or change a flat. Especially on my own.

To each their own.

It is tougher for me to get under the truck then it is to put in the bed. My main thought was the rocks and mud that get in that wheel underneath. If Jeep had put the Tire on the side like the 2005 Depiction of the Gladiator We wouldn't be havin this conversation!
