How good does it work? Worth it?

Yes, worth every cent IMO. Takes the smallest trace of a signal and gives me a bar or two of LTE, or takes a single bar of LTE to full signal. During continued WFH the latter is what I ultimately wanted so that I could make Zoom calls etc from camp. Note I was able to try this first from a buddy's rig before I took the plunge and bought my own. YMMV based on your location.

put the little square plugs in the defroster to help push it out the sides more

they dont fit very good...
