If my stock gets me where I want to go, why would I spend money that only made it ride worse on road and didn't get me any further down the trail off road.
@Solidaxle is probably associated with a lift manufacturer and trying to drum up some sales. ??

$200 for the rubi take offs. Got JKS disconnects. Adding a Terraflex spacer to the front to negate the tiny bit of rubbing I get while flexed. Running a 33 mud tire. I'll take my Philistine comments.

Absolutely agree with @awraynor that is a great looking rig! Well done!

I have a 2021 JT Rubicon. Have had it about a month. Absolutely love it! I have been considering a lift, maybe 2" or 2.5", but I am not sure I need or want it. It came with the upgraded 17s with 33" tires. I may go to a bigger tire, say 35" when these are worn out, but am very happy with the look as is. For now I have decided to spend my money on other add ons, such as a winch package, rock skins and sliders from DV8. If I have clearance issues, which I probably will not, I will add some underbody protection as well. This will give me time to decide if I really need to do a lift and do my research as to what brand offers the options that I want.
Phylistine? Maybe...but happy Jeep Gladiator owner, absolutely! And isn't that what it all about in first place?!
Incidently, this is also my first post to the Gladiator forum.

Solid axle trucks are made to be lifted. If you’re never gonna lift your truck by a Honda ridgeline.
Well now, that ain't very friendly. I'm a guessin' that you're not from around here.

We're proud to be Philistines. I think lifts are the biggest waste of money a person can spend on any Jeep. This is our 3rd Jeep and we have never lifted any of them. The best thing we have bought for our Gladiator is a Bestop for the front of the cab.
While I don't think the Gladiator needs a lift, I do have to express my tremendous frustration at the quality of highway driving with the "stock" components. In my previous Jeep (a 2014 JKU) I ended up lifting it because it was the only way I could find improved shocks and springs. This time around I'm adding the Teraflex 0-1.5" shocks to fix it. It goes against this thread, but I do plan to add 1" springs so I'll end up being "lifted" but again... just to be able to get better components.

My truck is on order; only options are differential, wimpy trailer hitch, and floor mats. Don't want a play-jeep, but a working utility; my 4th new 4x4 in 33 years. "Off-road" isn't fun time, it is just everyday life. And if there are boulders under the truck, I am very lost.

One of the primary reasons for choosing the gladiator is the low liftover to put stuff into the bed; my 5-foot-4-better-half carts around a lot of gardening tools, and full-size pickups are almost over her head! Payload is about the same as my retiring Tundra, which routinely carries over a ton of materials. Maybe the JT can do even more, with back seat, doors, and top removed ;)

Rather than lifting, I am wondering about lowering. Maybe with the first tire changeout, go from the 31" stock, to 28" or 29".

Sacrilege? Wait 'til you see the "Jeep Gladiola" flower decals!
I'd love to see those decals.

Jason, I love it... this is my 2nd primer (2017 and now a 2020) and love the updates on this one. If you have any issue getting your rear shock dialed in, I recommend trying a coil - first time coil for me and I love the difference it makes.
I have the shock dialed but can't get the fork right. I have the rebound turned all the way in and it's still too fast.

Picked up some 5 JLR rims with BFG KO2s for $700 of FB and it changed the look completely.

Yea often mentioned before those rims were horrible and Jeep should be flooged like in the days of the Philistines for even putting that on a vehicle at this price range.

Brand new JT owner. Purchased a 2021 JT 80th over the weekend. Unsure what the future has in store for the Jeep, but for now it will remain stock.

Having read this entire thread (and many others), it’s clear to me that the thing I love most about this community is it is a BIG tent and all are welcome regardless your ride height. Run what you like, aspire to build or not, but everyone is enjoying their JT and I am definitely enjoying the conversation.
