what is their real world height?I did actual height of the tire using a level and then compared my speedometer on the highway to a speedometer app I have on my phone. It was more accurate than using the manufacturer height.
I have 37x12.50’s shown here

Setting your tire size is trial and error using the Tazer. I have 37 Pats and they measured 35.5" with the full weight of my Gladiator. However, I had to set my tire size to 36.6 in the Tazer to match the speed of my GPS' (phone and dash cam).Manufacturer says they're 36.5" diameter, but when I use a level and measure to the ground I get just about 35". What should I set my tire size to with my taser? 35 or 36.5?
This totally!! I find it interesting as well. The manufacturer estimates height based on a none mounted tire. They have no idea what kind of weight you have on your rig or how heavy the rig is your putting the tires on. With that said BFGs are one of the smaller ones but anything that measures over 36 not mounted is going to be considered a 37 by any manufacturer.I think it’s interesting why people run large tires in the 30-32 range and expect them to be a perfect circle and not oval.
The diameter top to bottom is always less than left to right because it’s under load. If you decrease tire pressure the height diameter will decrease, and air up it’ll increase.
Circumference shouldn’t change.... remember C = πd?
Inflate the tires to 65 they will likely be closer to 37” tall![]()
Badass looking JT. Making me think I need 37's rather than 35's when these Nitto's wear out. Here's my rig with the new 37's in the first picture... The 2nd photo IS WITH the 35"s![]()
