I don’t want to look like a roller skate. Should I stick with 2 or 2.5?

With highline fenders like the Rubicon, then yes. On a Sport or Overland, not bad looking at all. I have a Rubicon with a Clayton 3.5 lift and 37" tires. I kind of wished I went 38" now.

Depends what you intend to do. Out here I run certain trails that can be tippy.
My general rule is biggest tires as low as possible to get the max flex without a high center of gravity. I can tell you at 25 degree roll, I hit my pucker factor. Others may be comfortable.

I guess the question is: What part of Illinois? Is this purely aesthetic or functional?
I lived in Chicago for 23 years and went to school in Carbondale.

I have 33s on with Rubicon Take offs. I will add the Terraflex leveler as I am rubbing on the front at flex. Ideally Gobi Rubi fenders would be a good investment. I have been told my jeep looks good. nice blend of form and function.

For a visual reference, mine is a Sport S with AEV 2.5 DS lift with 35s. Ended up with about 4" lift in rear and 3" in front. The lift keeps the factory rake which I might install a 1" spacer to reduce it. Just waiting on my RTT and then fully load it to see how it sits. With Rubicon fenders it would keep the factory rake and look leveled at the wheels.

I'm in Bloomington and sorry to say it will be purely street driven
I have 35s and 3.5 inch lift, and I love the look of mine. To each their own.

Build what you love, man. You get out west, hit us up on the 4 corners part of this forum. We will take you out for some wheeling and whiskey after.

Fellow SIUC Grad here...Been thinking about doing those same wheels when I make the jump to 35's from 33's. You happy with them?

What year SIUC? I need to make sure I did not throw you out of the Hangar. :like:

I like them. They are STUPID HEAVY. Like 40pounds a rim. I have wheeled them twice. No damage so far at 18psi. My only wish is the center caps are plastic. For the money they should be something better.

Those are great looking wheels. I would have had the black ones if they were available when I bought wheels. I just could not take the look of the factory sport wheels for another day so I ordered something in stock.

Funny. When I first ordered them, Northridge sent me black. I had remind them I wanted tan.
