Out of curiosity, what is your warranty issue?

My local FEDEX bent and damaged the rails by mishandling the box. Granted, it is a heavy box.

All is good. BAK Industries is taking care of me. Thanks to Alex @RealTruck for assisting as well.

Everyone, just dont forget to snap a photo of your serial number located on the box and underneath the tonneau cover.

Installed today. Very straight forward minus the time I spent fighting with the LineX’d threads in the bulkhead. I’m very happy with the result. 100% better than the cloth roll up I had.

Also, to the guy asking... I would NOT stand on it. It’s a secure cover but it’s definitely not built to be stood on unless you add some sort of reinforcements.

Well went to install my X4s today and NOT happy with quality. Need to trim rubber straps and my side rails are a little scratched up and have metal shavings all on the right one. And of course my part bag was short a couple washers... let's see how it holds up. The side rubber already is all marked up and dented from factory...

So, I think those seals overhang intentionally. I was actually just talking to someone about this. If you cut them back it opens up a path for water that the corners. I was also missing 2 washers which I totally forgot about until you mentioned it. The rubber will flatten out after a day in the sun though, so don’t sweat that. Any visible scratches are something I wouldn’t accept though.

I went to install today as well. My rails look just like your rails. Shavings and the right one is offset.

I also either overtightened the jack nut, or it was faulty. It stripped. Now I need to figure out how to replace one of the jack nuts. I guess I will contact BAK on Monday.

It also looks to me like your cover is too far forward. It should line up at the front edge of the rail so you don’t have issues at the tailgate end. I also had metal shaving around my rivets but they wiped off without issue.
