I'm curious too. Quadratec says preorders start shipping July 2. I just want to know if I'll have it with enough time to install for my July 17th vacation I bought it for.

The Quadratec one is for the Black Diamond, just so no one awaiting the Black Twill gets confused.

Black Diamond was released a few months ago and has been on back order.

Black Twill has never been released.

I got an email from Bestop yesterday (23 June) stating
"Our current best estimate for delivery of your order is a minimum of 15 to 20 business days from today, plus shipping time."

So I went ahead and ordered a roll tonneau cover as I simply cannot wait any longer due to upcoming trips. It's a shame as I would have done so back in April when I ordered if I had any idea it would take this long. Plan to sell the tonneau if/once the Bestop arrives.

Yeah, that bugged me as well. I completely understand shipping/product delays with the supply chain fiasco worldwide...but at least be clear in communicating that. I don't mind waiting for something as long as I'm not going in blind thinking it's available since the site does not specify otherwise.

Exactly. I buy a lot of high end collectibles that sometimes take 2-3 yrs to come so I'm cool with waiting if I know I'm going to be waiting. I don't want to cancel the order now, but I need a solution for my trip and now $900 is just in limbo because I thought they were about to ship. I'll wait and see if there are any updates in a week. I may just end up stacking stuff in the bed and putting a tarp over it because it won't fit vertically with the tonneau cover shut.

I ended up getting the x-cover tarp by trpx for my trip. It was fairly inexpensive and worked pretty well for a 700 miles round trip.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll look into one of those as a backup plan.

I would have ordered the Softopper instead, but that at least says it is backordered until August on the site. The lack of updates/no info on the site is what is frustrating to me.

That’s why I am curious I have a vacation in august. Do we know if it will use the current rails in my gladiator?

It comes with the ability to use the trail-rail or clamp onto the bed lip.

Trail rail as the oem factory rail I have on mine? Or do I have to install their own trail rail system? That’s what they were trying to tell me I had to use theirs. But that seemed counter intuitive to me.
