Thanks Mr. Bill, just sent them an E-Mail about the stainless kit, awaiting reply.

I have on wife’s JL and my Mojave, the Mojave steel hood is very heavy and needs a special one called “Export / Mojave” I am not sure if mine was the first Mojave to get one but I had discussions about the hood and they did not realize at that time the hood was steel, and sent higher rated struts which work good but hood is slower to rise. They contacted me to see if they worked and offered to send a higher rated one if needed , but I am very happy with them. .....Jack
I have them as well on my Mojave and I have lights in the hood scoop and even with that weight in the dead of winter they worked like a champ. Great product.

I have had the stainless on mine for about 10 months. These are excellent and much needed to simplify quick under the hood checks.

HATE working around prop rods!
I agree, and these have a quick release so you can still put the hood back against the windshield to work in the engine compartment. The props are nice for adding washer fluid or jump starting the other car when my wife leaves the lights on and to access my up-down air system.

Very impressed, great communication, lightning fast shipping, amazing packaging to prevent shipping damage, all parts beautifully finished, and an elegant design, with a well thought out installation. Even the instructions were in plastic, to keep them clean. Blown away! NO MORE HATED PROP ROD always in the way!

Ordered the Redlines and while they do a great job of replacing the OEM prop rod, don't expect them to lift the hood...even the standard Rubicon hood. According to the Redline website, they will "lift and hold your hood." I have to lift the hood almost to the fully open position before the cylinders kick in and raise it the last 6 inches or so.

That's weird, my JT HA hood once released takes off like a bat out of hell all the way up.

Have you contacted Redline about it? They work great with the hood on my Overland.

I have no issues with my Overland. The struts lift the hood without any help from me.

That's good to know. I assumed mine were working correctly and it was just my expectations that were wrong. The cylinders will hold the hood in any position, but do not raise it until almost fully opened.
