Hmmm i think i have an idea. Ill buy that mount from amazon but im going to mount it horizontally on the bed rack i have and use some O rings to support the rods on the other end. I just ordered an aluminum one that holds 3 rods on amazon. Ill post pictures once i get them and mount it. It should work, ill just use some velcro or rubber bands to secure the rods so they dont fall out from the base.

im excited to see what ya come up with! I alwaysenjoy a good brain teaser. Especially when it saves you from spending a couple hundred dollars on a premade one.

Got my Cascadia VSS Hood Solar kit on!

Took a couple months since order placed, but today was the best sun we had all year so perfect timing to get it installed.

I got the solar and the charge controller. I went and did a hood blackout kit instead of the vinyl they offer which is just for under the solar panel.

Its only 30w which doesn't make it a watt/$$ bargain, but it will always be making power all day long, so better to have a trickle all day, than a forgetful lazy blast from time to time and storing panels. Those without the Rubicon hood can get the 80w kit for about the same cost, so it's a nicer setup for those with big flat hoods.

I'm glad I got mine last year and installed "the 80 w panel" Been running a fridge freezer non stop for a year now. ?

I wonder if im the only person that has spent a considerable amount of money on mods and have not touched the tires or suspension? I want to really bad but im waiting until the 36k mile mark if i can because of all the steering issues these were prone to having.

Nope I'm running stock tires and rims no lift. I just swapped out the one's that came on mine last week for a set I got from a member here due to getting a rock stuck in tire about to pop it and I'm close to 36000 miles. Only thing done was Plasta-dip'ed the rims tan.

Definitely, thanks. I'll plan a road trip to one of these after delivery. I am surprised they haven't made it to Chicagoland yet. Ziebart seems popular here but sounds like trash from what I've read.

I'm not a fan of Ziebart you can see the ground though my MJ drivers side floor, I had it done from Jeep factory. If you miss the 12 month Ziebart check by one day no more warranty on it. Was the crap I got, I got back from a deployment and missed the inspection window.

Havent posted in a bit, Added N-Fab nerf bars, UnderCover Ultra Flex Tonneua Cover, 7 Inch Radio Antenna.

Have a Iron Rock 2 Inch lift coming in this week, and a K&N 77 Series Polished Cold Air Intake. Lets see how that comes out.

Probably not gonna be great, to be honest. I expected the overall diameter of these to be larger than they are (in theory they should have been larger than my 18” stocks, but seem to be the same).

I hate the thought of dealing with it, but I may go larger…
