For anybody looking to install their lift themselves, check out our new JT lift kit install video on YouTube!

The bump stop extensions included in the kit will provide you with the necessary height required, 3" in the rear and 3.25" up front.

how is steering/death wobble on ride heights w/out both front control arms?

I am debating on this setup vs AEV drop brackets and stock front control arms.

thanks

We include front-upper adjustable control arms in the Ride Right kit because we feel these arms to be most crucial in adjusting your vehicle's caster angle, which directly affects steering and handling. As long as you follow the instructions and recommended lengths for the control arms and track bars, you should not encounter any sort of death wobble or steering issues at all! Death wobble has all sorts of causes, a lot of the time it's just simply from something not being installed correctly or something that has come loose, but the Ride Right kit does take all of the necessary components and adjustments into consideration for excellent on-road driving and handling!

Well, after months of researching I just pulled the trigger on the Clayton 2.5 Ride Rite kit. I swear I have looked at i million pictures and asked lots of questions and I finally feel very confident in my decision! Can't wait till it gets here!

I installed the 3.5” Overland Plus kit along with Teraflex control arm drop brackets and Falcon SP2 3.3 shocks for 3.5”-4.5” of lift. Every piece of the kit is well made. Beefy control arms, nice powder coating, etc.

The ride is awesome! I’m really looking forward to my next trip into the mountains!

Question for others running this lift and shock combo……
Is it just me, or are the rear shocks WAY too long?
The front shocks are perfect. Small amount of shaft showing at full bump and brake lines and wiring still have slack at full extension.

I installed the longer rear brake lines and un clipped the ABS wiring off the frame to get as much extra length I could. I drooped the rear suspension until the brake lines and wiring we’re getting close to their limit. The coil springs fell out and the shocks were too long fully extended to bolt in. I had to compress the shocks by hand in order to get them bolted in.
If I let the shocks fully exten the brake hoses will act as limit straps.
I wish Falcon sold their shocks as pairs, that way I could get shorter rear shocks.

Falcon did make us aware that the 3.5 - 4" shocks will allow for a bit too much travel in some scenarios, possibly allowing coils to unseat. This is something we are still looking into addressing, though it does not seem to cause any sort of issues during normal driving or off-road circumstances, just when the axles are fully drooped. We highly recommend a set of limiting straps as a super easy solution to this issue, and will make sure your coils stay where they need to be! Awesome build by the way! :like:

Thanks for the heads up.
Ive been emailing Teraflex about it. I ordered their rear spring retainer kit, I’ll be installing it this weekend.
I asked if I could purchase just the rear 2”-3” shocks and they refused to. Said they only sell them all 4 at once. ?
that’s a bummer because the front 3.5”-4.5” shocks fit perfect.

I think Teraflex missed the mark on the rear JT shock lengths.

The top is 3.5 and bottom is 2.5. Both 37s. Strange how the 2.5 lift looks bigger or same at least
I have the added weight of a Hemi up front. The 5.7 Hemi weighs 130 pounds more than the factory 3.6. Gotta take that into consideration.
As far as the rear, it’s hard to see 1” of difference in pictures.

Tires make a difference too, they’re all sized different. For example BFG’s run small!! 37” BFG’s are the same size as most other brands of 35’s.
