Put it back together. Got hit on the trail, she was running down the middle of the road blind in her friends dust cloud. I saw her headlight square to mine, but she swerved enough that I clipped her rear. She’s balking and said that it was my fault. I was driving the shoulder until it cleared, she was running the middle of the road blind.

For those wondering about the Rugged Ridge Venator bumper, it took the glancing blow just fine. It just loosened up one fastener. The steering is a little whacked, need to get it aligned. Doing it at home some tho got it reasonably good.

And ordered up a new Y-pipe and a skid plate that I should have done day one. Surprise rock hidden in a row of shrubs on a two track. Devil of a hit. Oil pan, cross member and y-pipe.

Now, I think it’s time to have a drink and wait out this afternoon heat wave.

Looks like the Venator bumper held up ok. I've been interested in it's resilience, but didn't want to test mine it. Thanks for sharing and sorry about the damage

These shorty antennas have no impact on satellite radio. Depending on where you live, may have some impact on FM reception. I have the Rydonair 13" one from Amazon and I haven't had any FM reception issues.

Finally got around to installing my MOPAR 2" Lift.

For those wondering if you need to swap out the stock track bar for an adjustable one. Not really. Post install the axle is off 1/8” to the left, that’s with a full gas tank and no passengers. Truth be told I do have a DECKED storage box in the bed ≈200lbs so your results may vary.
I’ll check axel center again in about a week to see if suspension has settled.

Got my swing away tool box mounted. If you get one, take the rake of the truck into account... I mounted the bracket level and surprise, surprise, the damn thing was running uphill so much my bed cover wouldn't close It's squared away now and I think I'm really going to like keeping stuff back there and removing some of the stuff under the back seat.

I thought the Mopar lift kept the rake. Definitely makes my decision easier if not the case.

By my eye, the MOPAR kit does level the JT a little bit.

Finally had a chance to get my new Rugged Ridge Arcus stubby bumper installed today. Kiddo has been sick all week, so had to keep him out of summer camp and stay home with him. But finally snuck away a few hours.

Very straight forward install, and very happy with the quality of it. Winch plate is beefy, and the actual bumper/shell was beefier than I assumed from pics. Think it turned out great.

Only one hiccup, also had some Diode Dynamic SS3 amber fog lights to install, but I received the wrong bracket that wouldn't work with the bumper. They are sending me a replacement, so will report back once those are on. Nice looking little fog lights though.

And now to decide on which winch, if I even want to install one, or just blank off the opening for now. And yeah yeah, I know it would have made more since to install all at once, but it's only eight easy access bolts to remove the whole bumper cover to access winch plate.

2.5" Front/2.0" Rear spacer lift is next woohoo, just need to find the time.

Installed a sunscreen today. Not a big job but mine all the same. Looks good for the price. Headed to beach next month. Was able to reinstall front panels w/o removing screen.
