Seems like every time I turn around there’s a new increase? Since I’ve retired I try not to watch the “news“ as much and pretty much just mind my own business but I haven’t heard of anything disastrous that’s happened to cause it? No hurricanes, wars, or the usual BS reasons. What’s the excuse this time?

Seems like “Politics” aren’t allowed on this forum so it would be impossible to answer your question.
All’s I can say is I’ll be glad when I’m in your shoes…

No need today anything. I know what you’re thinking cause it’s probably exactly what I‘m thinking.

I could explain EXACTLY why gas (and everything else) is skyrocketing, but I'll get banned yet again for speaking truth, so I'm going to refrain.....

Bruce Springsteen should do a benefit concert to bring awareness to the rising costs of things in America. Maybe bring up 15$/hr fast food wages as a bad idea that will impact the lower and middle class consumers that he pretends to identify with.

Too early for it to be due to the cancelled pipeline----but that is going to cause much higher prices in the future compared to having it.

From what I have been hearing there is low production stockpile (worldwide) and increased demand since things are starting to open up a bit, so simple supply and demand, if we want it we pay.....try paying the prices for gas that are up here in Canada, where I live we are paying on average $1.62 per litre or $6.13 per gallon

Like someone said before "I rather put up with a couple of mean tweets and $1.85 gas"!!!!
That’s just not how it works. Politics have nothing to do with any of the prices lately. It’s entirely a coincidence of a massive drop in demand during most of last year (which caused the price drop), causing a subsequent drop in production. When things started to open back up demand spiked. Production has been slowly ramping back up but the huge spike in demand combined with the lack of back stock and a huge reduction in drivers and other qualified logistics personnel is causing an enormous imbalance and delay.

This isn’t just for gasoline, but pretty much every product.

There’s a little more detail to it than that, but that’s the 30 second version.
