No I was expecting that when we were told to bring it in that we wouldn’t be told to take it home and then bring it back in. That’s inefficiency on their part and an inconvenience on our part.

The service person was told on the phone that the back window was leaking. If they would’ve said that we would bring the vehicle in for some picture but you wouldn’t be leaving it, we wouldn’t have driven two vehicles.

The window should be a warranty item not an insurance item on their part. I understand they don’t get paid for warranty work and it’s just a way to get around financials. But seriously, the vehicle has <20k miles.

Im not really sure why that was so hard to understand. Maybe I made it that way.
Just about any warranty claim is going to be a two visit ordeal. One to verify, approve and order parts and the second for the fix.

Went through same shit on my wife's Chevy Colorado with a HVAC control back light led flicker. Knew it was going to be a HVAC controller remove and replace and tried to make it a one visit when I made the initial appointment and they would not in any way shape or form order a controller until they verified the complaint.

Seems to be a easy double billing for the dealership.

Yeah, like I said it would've been no big deal IF they would've told us we weren't dropping it off and IF we didn't live 20+ miles away.

I understand SALES not talking to SERVICE - but SERVICE not talking to SERVICE doesn't make good business sense.

I just found out that Jeep has not been documenting the times my wife has called and told them the CEL (p0300) came on and then went off because of the number of starts/stops and mileage. So we have called three times to notify them that the CEL came on and AUTO START/STOP came on/off and each time they said bring it in - which was several days later. She called to notify them that the CEL went off within a day or two of bringing it to them and they cancelled the appointment - not us. She asked for it to be documented and I just looked on our MOPAR app and only one of those was documented.

I have to rely on Jeep to do the right thing - by not documenting it, well you know - if it wasn't documented, it didn't happen.

Do you know if these codes store? I have a reader and would like to go back - but I have a feeling they've been cleared out.

Thanks for your help.

New part supposed to arrive 7-20 then will schedule install. Fingers crossed. So far dealership (where I did NOT purchase vehicle from has been above and beyond (free loaner to boot). I'll withhold their name until issue is resolved, but I'm actually confident that I found a good dealership.

did they loan you a vehicle while they are waiting on the part to come in?

No, gave my truck back. It's not a major leak and a towel will suffice for now as I park indoors

This is some of the worst quality building I have ever had, one thing after another. Now my whole area behind my back window is soaked, back to the stealership

Must be a popular issue (in a bad way). Just dropped mine off today for the same leak. There a design flaw in gasket around window? Frustrating to hear so many w this “random” issue
When I did mine they told me It was a manufacturing issue, their was a gasket missing.

Waiting on the window. They say it will come in soon. I used the same tube weather stripping that people use to keep rocks out of the fenders today. My leak has steadily become worse I believe the seal is pulling away from the window. This should redirect the water for now. Tempted to put it back in once they replace the window. Sadly I'll have to replace kilroy.

We did the same thing to ours. Put some rubber tube gasket material along the back. We actually doubled-it up so it would get down in the crevice. It’s been over two weeks and they still don’t know when the part is going to be in. The frustrating thing with all of this is that WE have to call the service department to get updates. They have NEVER called us for a follow-up or even when we’ve requested them to. It’s a shame customer service no longer exists. This was the first and last Jeep we will ever buy. We wanted to enjoy it, but with 21,000 miles on it we’ve had nothing but frustrations with the product and the service. Pretty sad.

I did want to check back in and update that my leak issue was finally resolved with the back glass getting replaced. For anyone having dealer/service related issues I would highly recommend getting @JeepCares involved. They helped “steer the ship” for me and even though it took months from start to finish the glass did get replaced and it’s no longer leaking. That being said, I think I had a better service manager than most or at least he showed he cared and was great with follow up. Lastly, I did want to mention when I got the keep back, they had to break the glass and it was everywhere, to the point where I had to ask them to vacuum the inside and outside the truck again. My guess is the third party glass company that did the fix probably told the dealer they were done and left and no one in the service center checked the back to see how much glass was broken. In the end they cleaned it up as good as they could and there was no visible damage to the hardtop so I am happy with the fix. Good luck to everyone else with this issue it’s definitely annoying but a fixable one.

Saw this posted in the Gladiator Facebook group. Not my photos . You can see the crack on the left but if you zoom in you can see the one on right that goes from bottom to top.
The 2nd and 3rd are another user as well from that group. Looks like stress cracking.

I have to travel two hours to get to this great dealership but they are very rare. Four local dealerships could care less. Sadly the quality has gone down. Hope after this to kee my Jt for a long time but I cant recommend anything they make.

sad part is Stellantis will ignore the issue for probably 5 to 6 years then fix it when they are forced too. Seems they like to keep making known defective parts.
