Hey yall, I'm new here. We just ordered our jeep on Monday and I'm already looking at lifts. Planning on running 35"s, I know you don't need a lift for 35"s, but I'm planning on off roading it and want a suspension lift. Looking at the Rough Country 6" lift, but concerned that it would be to much. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

id stay away. That thing will turn out odd looking with that much lift and a small tire. what kinda of budget are we looking at? I’d assume a lower one since your looking at rough country. Iā€˜ve installed multiple different parts from them and they are fine, but that 6ā€ kit is a bit much.

Budget isn't an issue. I was concerned about that much lift and a smaller tire. What are some of the lifts yall are running?

above 3.5" lift you need to modify exhaust because driveshaft hits.
if you looking to run just 35" tires do a leveling kit and call it done.

Leveling kit or the mopar 2" kit or take out the factory inner linears, replace with aftermarket and call it a day.

I have the Clayton 2.5" Overland Plus and really like it. It's plenty of lift to clear 35's and comes with all 8 adjustable control arms, and adjustable track bars. I'm running Fox 2.0's and it rides decent.

Just an FYI: Lifts above 2.5" are where you're going to need to consider longer driveshafts and brake lines.

Here's mine with that lift and 37's:

Nice ride. I would run 37"s but worried about the Dana 44s

Dana 44s, especially the beefed Rubicon, Mojave and max tow ones, are good to go on 37s.
Anybody know what spline the 44's are? I know the TJ's are 33 spine which will not hold up to the 37's to serious off roading

Been running RK on my last few Jeep’s. Ride is awesome and the perform amazing on the trails
I haven’t had a chance to wheel the JT, but I’m running the front half of my 3.5ā€ RK kit from the JL and 3/4 daystar spacers in the rear on 35’s. Sits a little nose high by about 1/4ā€ but works till I can get their 3ā€ JT coils in

I have the Mopar lift on my JTR with 37's. I had the same set up on my JLUR I traded in on it too. No issues with either. Here's how my JTR sits.

32 spline for the JT.

TJ D44 rears are 30 spline and the front TJ 44 is 30 spline inners with 27 spline outers. Agreed TJ D44s will not hold up with 37s.
