Clayton 2.5" coils are as tall or taller than RK 3" coils.
I made a post on a Facebook group asking for this measurement. An RK employee measure their demo truck with the 3” and it was 15-7/16 and someone with a Clayton 2.5 reported 13-7/16.

That Clayton measurement seems short and the RK measurement seems tall.

The Clayton measurement is saying only 2.5" of lift height. I got 3.5"-4" on mine. I can measure later and provide the axle tube to spring pad measurement.

Here is someone with the RK 3" and they reported 3.5" in the front:

Then you have the RK 3” which is similar in that it gives you a bit but I’m afraid it may be too tall for my plan of 37/38’s on my rubicon, Some people are throwing 40’s under them.
For reference, this is 4.5” up front, 4” rear on 37s. I don’t think 3-3.5” will be too tall for 37s if I’m honest

Most lift heights are specified off a rubicon which is that that phot is from above. So Clayton at least for that particular persons vehicle is right at 2.5.

So torn. Clayton seems to get great feedback, as does aev although Clayton gives your adjustable arms instead of brackets. Then you have the RK 3” which is similar in that it gives you a bit but I’m afraid it may be too tall for my plan of 37/38’s on my rubicon, Some people are throwing 40’s under them. The RK kit seems like it may not carry a load as well as Clayton or aev. Then there’s Metalcloak which seems like a great kit but also seems to not handle loads very well when compared to aev or Clayton.

I don’t tow or haul much, but don’t want it squatted like crazy when I do.
Wasn’t as familiar with Metalcloak when I was looking, but have since heard nothing but good things about them. Clayton makes great stuff, and I feel their Overland+ kit is likely a little more heavy duty than AEV. AEV obviously uses correction brackets instead of adjustable control arms. Both offer options for coil springs to accommodate your hauling needs.

For me, like a lot of people, price factored in. I felt the AEV kit met my needs, which it does, and has a good reputation. It also included shocks, which made the price even better. You are looking at good reputable companies with AEV, Clayton, and Metalcloak, you’ll likely be fine whichever one you choose.

Eeny, meeny, miny ,moe .. my momma told me to pick the very best one and you are not it ! Sorry always shenanigans .
2.5 leave some to be desired on deep trails but gives alot less headache with set up due to fewer control arms and drive shaft crap has to be tweeked with IMHO ..
I plan next year to stop up to a 3.5-5 lift next year .. why ?? Cause I am a glutton for punishment ,I hate myself and want to make all my free time go away working on my JT "Ascender" 😂😂😂 .

My Clayton 2.5” with no winch and a plastic front bumper is at 14 5/8” to 14 3/4” on that measurement.
