I see guys everyday with just the front doors off or just the rear. It’s the dumbest thing I have ever seen like rolling the window up when you have the top down. ??‍The only thing I can think of is it's so you can remove the driver's door and still get the windows to go down on the other doors from the driver's seat, but who does that?
Haha yea but I have to open the door to do that which would turn the lights on too. I'm talking about walking up to an unlocked truck and opening the tailgate, bed lights will not turn on.
Tazer has the option of turning them on for 30 mins with 3 clicks of the unlock button.Haha yea but I have to open the door to do that which would turn the lights on too. I'm talking about walking up to an unlocked truck and opening the tailgate, bed lights will not turn on.
The window switches in the middle of the console, had it over two years now and still can't get used to it. Oh, and I hate the panic alarm. I've never need a panic button but now I have panic moments on a weekly bases when I lean or bump the key in my pocket and I'm stumbling to get the key out and turn it off. This is the case with any vehicle. What do you all think is good bad and tolerable but could be better?
I'd like to start with the wiper switch. WTF? you push it up to quick wipe. Pull it back to spray. Most wiper handles you would push down to turn on, nope you have to twist thetip. Just a small annoyance LOL.
What are the little things you all love or love to hate?
I do that. Only because my dog is always with me. Probably not the safest for him to tide without doors. ;-)I see guys everyday with just the front doors off or just the rear. It’s the dumbest thing I have ever seen like rolling the window up when you have the top down. ??‍![]()
Yep I have small kids in the back so I always leave their doors on, just put the truck back together after having the fronts off for 2 months.I do that. Only because my dog is always with me. Probably not the safest for him to tide without doors. ;-)
The ugly....
The tail lights. They ugly.

Uh, front doors off, back doors on? A lot of us have done that........ there's a few pictures of that very thing in the forums. The only thing I can think of is it's so you can remove the driver's door and still get the windows to go down on the other doors from the driver's seat, but who does that?
Seriously? Total difference between overhead open air and the wind blowing in sideways at you.I see guys everyday with just the front doors off or just the rear. It’s the dumbest thing I have ever seen like rolling the window up when you have the top down. ??‍![]()
I solved the panic button thing with the leather holster........... I've not triggered that since I got the holster. Before I had done it several times just by leaning over a fender or something. The window switches in the middle of the console, had it over two years now and still can't get used to it. Oh, and I hate the panic alarm. I've never need a panic button but now I have panic moments on a weekly bases when I lean or bump the key in my pocket and I'm stumbling to get the key out and turn it off.
That's the other thing - we can go shopping and toss stuff in the back seat or on the floor behind the front seats.Yep, one more for doors off on the front, but not the back.
I have two kids in the backseat, but there are other benefits (like not having stuff roll out the back) and the doors still lock so I'm less worried about someone tying to poke around under the seats if I'm out on an errand. At this point I've stopped taking the back half of the hardtop off too. The kids don't like the sun on them anyway and it's less time to put it all back together.
I wish i could say that it wasn't already all the way down, but I have it lowered as far as it'll go. My feet dangle like an amusement ride. I'm not tall and have short legs it's an awful combination. You must drive like my wife, seat cranked up all the way so she can see over the hood. Then when i jump in, i bang my legs on the steering wheel. Crank your seat all the way down, then no way your feet are dangling like an amusement ride.
I don't see why it's any different than a power lock switch. I assume it goes to a relay and doesn't carry much of a load.Uh, front doors off, back doors on? A lot of us have done that........ there's a few pictures of that very thing in the forums.
The biggest thing is the high power in the doors due to having to power 4 windows through the driver door - that means at least 3 added wires, and one being hot all the time giving power to those switches.
MAYBE someone has a 7 year old in the back seat - one who tends to be curious and moves around a lot...........
