I’m about 6”7’ and my head no matter what I do hits the soundbar. I can slouch down in the seat but then my knees are crammed up into the dashboard.

I swear I had more room in my JK…

I guess I could mod the seat so it sits lower but then I’ll be sitting in the floor and I’m not sure that sounds too appealing either.

anyone else out there have a possible solution I haven’t thought of?

I have the seat jackers, but still haven't installed them yet. I'm only 6'1", but have long legs. From all of the reviews I've heard the seat slammers are the ones you want for your height, but aren't for the faint of heart as they require modifications to the seat by cutting the rear seat legs.

funny I was sitting here looking at that exact thing.

I wonder how it would feel with your hind end sitting on the floor Pan?

Gonna have to raise the front of the seat for thigh support, and drop the rest of the seat for headroom. There’s items for both of these solutions. AND have to forgo the adaptive cruise so that you don’t have that hideous box behind the mirror blocking your already limited view. Flipping the mirror over gains you slightly more visibility.
I felt cramped in my JKU but a LOT more so in a JL. Still doesn’t negate the fun factor so I’ll do what I can to make it as comfortable as I can.
An yes, for all of those fixing to pounce, I know there is a lever on the seat. Some of us just grew up into real man size.?

It would feel the same as sitting in many cars, which put the seat on the floor.

If the base cushion is long enough to support your thighs this might work. But if they are short, you are setting yourself up for not great comfort.

I'm actually surprised that you aren't having a problem with leg room. I'm not tall, but of many of the reviews I've read they complain about not being able to slide the seat back far enough.

One thought -

1) measure the height of the current seat.
2) go sit in cars owned by family or friends that have seats lower than the jeep at its lowest setting.
3) if possible find out the seat hight with the modification and adjust one of those cars to that height.

I owned a Miata years ago. You literally sat on the floor. It was fine. But I'm short and had good thigh support right to the back of my knee.

If you are having these problems, I',m also guessing that you have short legs and a long torso (proportionally speaking) so this might not be a problem.

I hope some of this helps.

***Edit - I just read the product info on seat slammers. It drops the rear of the seat only, which seems like a good thing since thigh support is maintained.

If I was tall, this would work for me since I like the base cushion to slope down towards the back.
My wife's current car has like 9 way adjustable seats and I drive with the back of the base down and the front up.

I’m ok sitting in the floor of a sports car.
I’m really looking at these seat slammers.

the legroom isn’t bad, it could be better sure but I’m so used to being folded up in a seat I just don’t think I pay much attention to it.

Bold move. I’m 6’4” and I feel like I’m pushing the limits of comfort in my gladiator.
its most certainly smaller. They both have their pros and cons.

Its funny. I have a couple of tall and large friends. One is 6'4" and big. I mean a head the size of a watermelon and practically has to turn sideways in a doorway.

When he folds himself into my car it looks horrible. But then he tells me that he is more comfortable than in most cars. I guess you guys get used to it. Ha.

Another friend is 6'3" and long and lanky. He fits fine. Mainly because my front passenger seat has really long travel.

Either way. Good luck. I'm 5'8". So I fit in anything.

What's your shoe size? My b-i-l is 6'3" size 14, he drove a 'Rocco in high school. We'd order racecars with an extra 4" long footbox so he'd fit. His youngest son turned out 6'5" w/ size 18. Drives an early 2000's 3-series.
