Just spoke to Renee on the phone and she said it’s driver related.

I offered to pay for private shipper but no dice.

These are sold trucks that they are on the hook for, I was surprised they wouldn’t let me hire a private third party.

I’m trying to be reasonable which I think I am but it just doesn’t make sense to be this continuously delayed and why they would continue taking orders if they have no drivers.

Good thing there is a $1495 destination charge when you buy!

The issue is everywhere unfortunately. Even FedEx is starting to limit what it can haul from warehouses. FedEx has already put a cap on how many trailers can be used per day on some of the DC's for who i work for. So customers orders will be delayed due to capacity. You think it is bad now with just our Jeeps. Wait till we get closer to the holidays for all those gifts we want to purchase. Stores will have reduced stock and your online orders will take forever to get. Workforce in supplychain and logistics right now is horrible. I could easily hire 100 people right now if i could get the applicants even after hourly pay increases and incentives.

Well I ordered around the same time as you @VolatileA and mine isn't even built yet!

I would be frustrated if i got stuck with a 3 week shipping period after the build date of 10/12. I was hoping to at least have this truck by deer season

If Gupton does get their orders directltly from Toledo on a truck then there is no excuse for this sort of delay.

Wondering if the rumor of FCA cutting rates by 38 percent on outbound car hauling jobs is true. That would certainly explain why it's taking so long.

Well if anyone wants a career change now is the time. I have a buddy running a trucking business........not enough CDL drivers out there. And for those that are qualified are making a fuckin mint right now. The guy that used to work down at the corner store went and got his CDL....... his freshly minted CDL is getting him 11-15k a month TAKE HOME working 5 days a week.

Update: Shipping ETA is now 9/22-10/4 (another delay)

Been in shipping stage for 1 month and 3rd delay/ETA.

I don’t understand how a 6 hour drive from plant to dealer is this badly delayed, they keep mentioning drivers in shortage but I’m not buying the story.

WHAT! How are you still not there?? Mine was delivered over the weekend and it was just built last week!

And for those that are qualified are making a fuckin mint right now. The guy that used to work down at the corner store went and got his CDL....... his freshly minted CDL is getting him 11-15k a month TAKE HOME working 5 days a week.

Someone else on FB just took delivery of Rubicon and said his turnaround was 4 weeks.

At what point is this unreasonable? I’m trying to be patient and polite but you’d think there would be some process here at least by order date.

Stuck in shipping for 4 weeks with another 2 week window extension… when does it end?

Thats so weird and daniel hasn’t given you any updates? There’s not an aftermarket install with the bed liner or something they’re waiting on? Mine had nothing the parts shop had to add. I avoided all the extras for the most part, going to sit myself after the fact.

No extra aftermarket parts, skipped Gorilla glass and bedliner as well.

Yeah, that’s weird. I remember you saying it was done like 3+ weeks ago so that gave me hope mine would go fast too. Something is off with that though, somebody is dropping the ball at Jeep. There’s no way they loaded up mine if your vehicle is ready to ship and just left yours. Completely nonsensical.

Yeah my buddy that has the trucking business if I wanted to get out on the road. I had an identifier for being a Master Driver in the Army.......All I would need to do is go test out for my CDL. I love to drive, but not that much.

yea it's frustrating but I understand their side of it where it's not at the dealer. I plan on shipping down to Florida but I need to wait until the financing is done and it's mine to do so.
