There are a couple of dealers on here offering 6-8 pct. under invoice. Koons in Tysons Corner Va. You order the jeep online, wait 6 or 10 weeks until it arrives at the dealership and it's like 88-90 pct of the MSRP. Then drive it home.

I just checked the dealership that I bought mine from last December and yep, there is a $4k upcharge on the 2 Mojave's they have in stock. They typically have some of the best prices in AZ that I've seen. I got my 2020 last December for $6K below sticker. I'm glad I pulled the trigger when I did!

Last report I read is that the auto shortage is expected to keep prices inflated until 2025.
I don't doubt it... but the free money well is likely to dry up way before that!

As others have stated before, if you want *that* specific truck then try and negotiate the $2K off. That’s a near-fully equipped Mojave. Otherwise you’re better off ordering from dealers mentioned above. I’m just amazed you found a dealer with vehicle stock. My local dealer has 0 JL or JT models on the lot.

Hard to believe there are still dealers selling 6-8% under invoice when there is such limited supply and no incentive for them to sell that cheap.

I think it is their business model to move more units and cash in on incentives from FCA or whatever they are called now. I think that is what is frustrating about all these dealers operating in different ways.

Yeah. But I'd rather have the extra off road goodies for the same price. Plus, regardless I think we can all mostly agree that Rubicons can pull a higher price and resale value than any other trim.
Debunked. That's a perception out there on the web. Just doesn't really work that way when all costs and concerns are taken into account.
For one thing - these haven't been around long enough to prove squat. A year or 2 is nothing, proof of zip. Around here the Sahara Wrangler will give you more back than other models.......
Even a year ago when I visited with a dealer about trade - Rubicon vs. Overland didn't matter. Sure, the Rubicon was worth more at that point, but you paid as much more for it than you did the other levels so it was a wash.

They are independent businesses - just like the locally owned hardware store. They can sell any way they please. They can heavily discount and rely on volume or not. Also it's a matter of location and business model and WHO owns them.
We forget some are family owned, some are independently owned, some are corporate owned (by corporations that own at times dozens of dealerships across the nation)

But you also said this - almost implying you figured they should all operate the same.

Even gas stations that are the exact same chain, even only blocks away, sell different choices of gas octanes and at different prices.
I guess I LIKE all of the differences in dealerships - I can shop and choose. It's not frustrating to me - I can find one where I like how they operate.

Or maybe... implying people are frustrated for a lack of understanding the outdated boomer style business models that different car dealerships can choose to operate under.

Your username checks out, you sure seem to like to correct to people like the forum's grandfather.
So you are saying they should all follow the same business model - is that correct? They are following outdated business models and should all be controlled to operate the same.
Did I get that right?
Wondering because it APPEARS you don't like differences and there needs to be some control - or is that not correct?

Hmm you should take a time out. Nothing he said was that egregious that you need to resort to that level of reply.
