Anything at a dealer is going to be high. Shop hourly rate is extremely high. They have all the diagnostic machines, lifts, specialty tools, and normal overhead to cover. Not to mention they want a hellish profit margin.

Especially right now as they all struggle for profit with extremely low inventory.

@lowso, I'm assuming the desire for the dealer to install is so it'll be under warranty? Is that the case?

My dealer quoted me the same including parts. I just went with the AEV 2 inch spacer kit and installed it myself but I don't do any heavy off road.

And they fully understood that YOU had the lift, correct? Sometimes that part is said, but it escapes them when they write up a quote or give you one on the phone.
Even at home I swapped out 4 springs and 4 shocks and it took me less than half a day as I recall. Add swapping in lower control arms and I could have done it in 4-5 hours. At 140 an hour, that's under 600. Add 100 for alignment check, still only 700.
One shop quoted me something like 600 for spring and shock swap - which isn't really much different than a lift kit so that 1700 tells me they've goofed up and maybe included some parts????

My dealer only charges 3 hours ($125hr) for the AEV spacer kit install not including parts or alignment.

I was quoted $2145 from a dealer including the lift kit - which is currently selling for over $1700 but can normally be found for around ~$1300.

I assumed they are charging something like ~500 for labor.

1200-1300 for the lift, 600ish install, 100-200 alignment, and the rest is tax? Not terrible.
