I'm glad I don't work at a Jeep dealership. I would probably quit after a couple of weeks if I had to listen to some of yall all day. I've seen lube techs make mistakes like this and it always gets brought to their attention and they clean it and they never make that mistake again. Mangers always try to make it right with the customer as best as they can. We are all HUMAN and we make mistakes but to state as fact that all people who work at dealerships are stupid horrible people is insane.

I would reach out to the service manager and CC the service writer you are dealing with as well as the general manager of the dealership and your salesman.

That' is excellent. But its not the norm.
Flat rate is only for second, third year or journeymen mechanics in this neck of the woods.
I will ad that the flat rate topic is a sensitive one between the two of us because I just disagree totally on it.
If the book says 3 hours for a job and it’s done in 1.5, well that’s what you should be charged. Otherwise it’s outright falsification of the work order. Oh, and don’t get me started on “shop supplies”. ?

I agree with the last half of your last sentence. But to say “We are all HUMAN and make mistakes” sure, but this incident wasn’t a mistake it was careless workmanship. There’s a difference.

As a person with two mechanics in the family I certainly would love to give the mechanic the benefit of the doubt here. Could just be a beginner who needs to know this is not acceptable work. Thats why I sent the pictures to the service department first - and not the GM or FCA.
So far - no response.

What's the recommended path for someone that wants to report poor quality of service? And how are dealerships held accountable for not representing the jeep brand appropriately?

Usually they have a dealer satisfaction survey you get after having any type of work done. I believe Jeep HQ sees those and that would have the most impact as they are financially compensated based on their scores.

Sorry for your mess here OP, no pun intended.

I am optimistic the dealership will make it right as this is just unacceptable. The sales guys up front tend to be scummy and only care about getting a sale, where as the service side depends on returning customers and the blue collar folks turning the wrenches do tend to take pride their work - but mistakes do happen.

My personal experience with quick lubes at the dealerships have been a mixed bag, but never anything this messy - however, they've always made it right. I did get fed up with my Nissan and just did my own oil changes as they are simple enough.

Well it is a weekend.
The GM is the way to go in my mind.
Who then realistically can approach his Service Manager and say,
“What’s this all about?” Because the Service Manager is held accountable for the service employees.

Btw, FCA no longer exists. It’s Stellantis. ?
Just doesn’t roll off the tongue so easily, sounds like a seniors disease.?

I did my first change at 1,000 miles to catch any issues early. I'll do all mine on all my cars because I too have had bad experiences at both dealer and Jiffy Lube type places. Last straw was an oily handprint on tan leather of wife's car where tech pushed himself out of car.

My dealership does a great job, and FWIW, I know all the service people. But there's no way they should let your vehicle leave with oil dripping!

Perhaps you missed the part where the OP did bring it to their attention and has been ignored?

So that just means all dealerships and their employees are terrible?
I'm not sure what at all suggests that from what either the OP or I said.

Boy your really trying to read between the lines somehow.
That’s not how I understood the post.
