If money isn't an issue get the Mojave. I love the Willys for the value but think the Mojave is the best looking by far and will be more well appointed with no options than a fully optioned out Willys. It'll be more comfortable too.
Thanks, but alas, this will be the first time ever that I could not do some serious negotiations - I think I am going to ask for at least a Mopar fold up tonneau

Two reasons to get the Rubicon. 1, Off road capability with Rubicon factory lockers front/back and front sway bar disconnect. 2. Resale value.

If you buy a non Rubicon then decide you want the off road capabilities of a Rubicon you will end up spending more with the add ons and modifications on the non Rubicon than if you would have just bought the Rubicon in the first place. However, in either case as a Jeep owner you probably will spend lots of $$$ on modifications and after market products. Its a Jeep thing.
Resale is subjective...

Greater savings in adding the Rubicon parts aftermarket.
Depending on exterior color, you might not even get the red dash! On my Nacho, the dash is gray like the other trims but matte instead of glossy. I think Punkn and Gecko are the same.
Tan seats also come with grey dash.
Having recently sold my 2020 Gladiator Rubicon and buying a 2021 Gladiator Willys, I can say in my opinion, the stock suspension and ride qualities of the two are way different.

From my perspective, the Willys is just a glorified appearance package of the Sport model with the same light suspension and spring rates of the Sport with just a set of MT tires, a hood decal and anti-spin rear diff.

Rubicon in factory form handles more planted and with a more firm suspension.

If you plan to install a new lift with replacement springs and new tire/wheel combo, then all that goes out the window and the Sport/Willys models become a better value over the Rubicon.
Anti-spin can be had in the Max Tow.

As someone who never owned a Jeep or even rode in one until I bought my Mojave, I have to say it rides quite well. There is definitely more wander in the steering that I was used to, but after a few weeks you don't even realize it's there. I took a few test drives in the Rubicon before deciding on the Mojave and there is a pretty noticeable difference in there ride quality. and since you stated you do not plan on crawling, the suspension from the mojave can be nice to have going over rough roads that you encounter all over the place, not just off roading. My vote would definitely be on the Mojave, but either way you can't go wrong!

I agree with the Willys suggestion. Great looking rig from the get go without paying for the extras you won’t need.

No off road? Don't spend on a Rubicon or Mojave - your paying for suspensions on these that you will never use, get a base model with the options and/or after-market add-ons you like and enjoy it for what it is worth. You will save $$$'s.

I've made my decision - I'll be driving this fully loaded Sport S within the next 3 weeks when it arrives at the dealership and I got them to throw in a Mopar tonneau cover. Can't wait!
I love the looks of the Rubicon, but in that I have no plans to either tow or use it off-road, I'm trying to decide if it is worth it just for the looks. Three important questions: 1) I see a lot of comments in reviews about the loose steering at highway speeds. Does the various Gladiator packages handle the same on the highway? I would think that with a car more dedicated to off-road, the the handling might not be as good as the Sport S. 2) Is the ride of the Rubicon as good as that of the Sport S on the highway? And 3) I would assume that gas mileage in the city would be worse with the Rubicon versus the Sport - is that true?

Oh and yes, there is a white Sport S in transit to my local dealer, and probably the only thing I don't particularly like about it is that it has the white versus the black grill. Would it be a big deal to ask for a swap out? I know with the current conditions, it is pretty difficult to deal, something I am not used to having been an owner of over 40 cars in my driving life, but I wonder if a try might be something like asking for a Mopar fold up tonneau cover prior to committing to the truck?

I'm excited about the prospect of finally owning my first Jeep - I have always wanted one and the time has finally come!!
I've decided that there was no reason to pay for things I did not need and I bought this new Sport S which is fully loaded - it will arrive within three weeks and I got the dealer to throw in a Mopar tonneau cover. I can't wait!!

Max Tow package? Key if you are going to run bigger tires in the future for the 4.10 gears.

Looks great, if money is no object throw on a pair of adjustable fox 2.5s and a coil lift like Clayton for the best ride and handling. Everyone talks about the Mojave but the adjustable aftermarket foxes are better for the fine tuning they allow.

I'm sure there will be a lot of goodies in my future and fortunately, there is a great store just a few miles from me called "Jeepster." :)

You're gonna have a lot of fun with it. I also did not plan on doing serious off road and wanted a blacked out look. I got the Willys with the soft top. I can't wait for Spring/Summer to drop the top and hit the unpaved stuff.

Absolutely! The one thing I would have ordered if it was not already built was a blacked out grill, which would highlight the other black trim and fenders and tonneau and top.

Cool it has black fenders and top, those are becoming a lot less common. I prefer the black for contract myself.
