squat with the boat is 3/4, so actually still not even engaging the springs with my tongue weight alone. Boat is 4500-5000 depending on the gear/fuel.

Can you tell a difference?

I have not done a “loaded” tow as of yet. Not really even hitting them now on flat towing with no gear in the truck or boat, or not enough to notice anything. Couple of railroad tracks on the way out to the beach that will be a good test when loaded up with gear

Please comment back when you do some towing. I am going to towing close to my towing limit on my Mojave across country with a towable RV. Already have a WDH and sway control. I am thinking bags, timbren or sumo will help, but can't decide which way to go.

will do, my boat has a pretty light tongue weight and is balanced over the trailer axles compared to the same weight RV. plus no wdh on a boat trailer.

Nice!! Im sure youll love em. I went with sumos just because they were the first ones I learned about. They are the same church but a different pew so they work the same. Definitely a good upgrade for towing.

Added the Timbren SES system. Pretty easy install, dis have to remove the wheels purely just to make it easier on the install.

I’m installing these today on my Mojave. Any tips? Also, I noticed you used the 1/2” spacer, how much gap do you have between the Timbren and axle? Thanks

It’s about an inch gap with no load. I might try taking the 1/2 inch spacer out. My boat sags the rear about 3/4 inch with minimum load. You do on occasion feel the rear end make contact with the Timbrens. Not a big deal though.

On install, i did have to remove the wheels and drop the axle to get enough space for the install. I lifted the rear up on the hitch then put jackstands under the frame. tried without jacking it up, just wouldn’t work.

So first decent weight pull on the JTRD with the SES. Towing about 4-4500lbs across NC. With the tongue weight, the SES springs were basically setting on the axle. definitely kept it balanced and controlled bounce across some rough roads. Have to wait and see how it handles my boat, which is heavier and lots of wind resistance.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but you only had to install the rear kit, right? No need to buy the front if I’m towing, right?
